"Hmm.." Smash said as they walked into the empty room. "Looks like everyone went to bed already. Should I go get them?" he asked.

"No, its alright. I figured that the fighters would know what to do when the time comes. What I mainly needed to figure out was what to do with Mike and Diana." Percy explained.

Both Mike and Diana looked up from where they were sitting. "Huh?" they asked in unison.

"I think it would be best if I put them in hiding tonight. No one will know but me where they'll be at so if any of you were in a position where you had to be forced to tell, you won't know." he explained further.

Smash's eyes widened at the thought of it. He sighed softly, hoping that things wouldn't come to that.

"We're going to be put to hiding...?" Mike asked, quietly.

"Sorry, Mike." Smash said. "But that's just the way it has to be, right now."

Diana looked down, not wanting to cause Mike any trouble. She didn't want him to do anything he didn't feel comfortable with.

Percy turned to Mike. "If you need to bring anything, go ahead and pack up now."

Mike nodded slowly. "To be honest, I really did want to help you guys fight." He said. "I mean, after all that stuff I said back at Gizmo's house, it doesn't really feel right if I don't follow through with it." He looked up into Percy's eyes. "I gave you my word, back there."

Smash shook his head. "You did, but remember exactly what your word was."

Raising both eyebrows, Mike thought back to what happened earlier.

"...And that's why..." Mike suddenly spoke, breaking the silence of the
room. "That's why we can't let them have Diana." Everyone looked at him,
somewhat surprised. "Your mom and dad both died to keep her out of
their clutches. You went through years of torture for her sake, when you
could have just told them where she was and ended the pain. Your
sacrifices won't have any meaning if we let them have her. And now that
they know where she is, They'll keep coming for her non-stop." He stood
up. "I'm going to fight. I'll do anything it takes to keep them away
from Diana. Even if it means that I have to kill them...I won't let them
have her. Not after all that you've been through!"

"You said you'd do anything it takes to keep them away from Diana." Smash reminded him. "Basically, this is what it takes."

Mike looked down, "Yeah, I-I said that.." He said, quietly. "I guess I just kinda..felt angry at those guys. I really wanted to make them pay, with my own two hands." He looked back up. "But, as Gizmo would say, this would be the rational thing to do."

Gizmo smiled a bit at that. "That's right."

Diana smiled gently at the boy that meant most to her with a small tint of red in her cheeks. It made her happy to hear him say that..

"I think all I'll need to pack are the things that Gizmo gave me." Mike said. "Gizmo, could you bring my equipment, please?" He asked, giving him a confident smirk.

Gizmo's smile turned into a grin, "I'm on it!" He dashed out of the room, with Kitty soon following after.

Mike turned to look at Diana. "As long as Diana's okay with hiding out, then I'll do it." He said.

She smiled and nodded. "Thank you.."

When Gizmo came back with the equipment, Percy led Mike and Diana to the door.

"You can handle things here while I'm with them, right?" Percy asked Smash.

"Heh..Do you even need to ask?" Smash smirked slightly. "Just keep them safe tonight, and I'll see you in the morning."

Percy nodded, and was the first to head out.

Before Mike left, he turned around and gave Lina a big hug, which startled her. "I'll see you soon, Lina." He whispered, softly. "And..I'm sorry about before.." He pulled away from her, and left to join Diana and Percy out the door. He gave one last wave to the others before they closed the door behind them.

"Well, That's that.." Smash said. "Let's get to bed, we've got a long day tomorrow."

"Right..." Lina nodded slowly. 'I should be the one apologizing to him..' She thought. 'Until now, I haven't been able to fully trust Diana...I'm so sorry..'

Noticing her staring off into the distance, Gizmo patted her shoulder for comfort. "Hey don't worry. He'll be back in one piece." He reassured. "C'mon, let's go to bed."

Mike and Diana followed Percy close behind, staying quiet until the realized where they were headed to.

"The woods? We're hiding in there?" Mike asked, stopping with Diana when Percy started to climb over a log.

"Well, not exactly."

"Then where, brother?" Diana asked, accepting Percy's help over the log.

"We're going to the place where Mike found you the other night. I've been staying near there. Its safe, and only I know how to get to it." he answered.

They both looked at him, rather surprised. They exchanged glances, thinking the same thing, before continuing to follow him.
"So you've been staying "Near" there?" Mike asked, simply hopping over the log.
