Moonlight Visitor

Luna shook her head. "I think we're actually even now." She said. Percy gave her a questioning look. "I owe you for helping Smash, who was in the same state or worse..And for teaching me how to help. I won't forget your people's healing arts; I want to be ready in case something like this happens again."

"Hey, let's not get all sappy, now!" Jessie butted in. "We're all in this together, so we all share the same debts and whatnot. And let's not start thanking eachother just yet; We still got one last mission to complete!"

James folded his arms behind his head. "Still, it looks like things are looking up though, right?"

"Right!" Jessie agreed whole-heartedly.

Luna stood up, looking down at the necklace she wore. A strange blue stone was attached to it. She seemed to be relieved after looking at it.

"So, where do we start?" James asked. "What do we need?"

For once, the group managed to laugh. Luna glanced over at the clock, "Fair enough; it's time for lunch anyway." She giggled. "I'll get started on it."


Meanwhile, Terrence's car parked by the bridge over the small river by a gentle waterfall. The group unloaded out of the car, and Gizmo lead them into the stream. He walked up in front of the waterfall, and reached his hand into it. After a few moments, they heard a clicking sound, and the water slowly began to part. A cave revealed to be behind it. A ramp then extended out from the entrance, allowing them access. "Let's go guys." Gizmo said. "Kitty should already be here."

"Oh is that where he was?" Violet asked, raising an eyebrow. "I was beginning to wonder."

"Yep, he went to gather the chao here to prepare the ship. That should give us a head start." He lead everyone into the cave. Inside was somewhat dark and damp. Lanterns hung from the walls, illuminating the narrow passageway. They stopped in front of a separate passage to their side, which lead up a flight of stairs made of dirt. "Up here." He directed. They walked up the stairs, and soon found themselves in a large, spacious room. The room had fluorescent lights instead of the lanterns, and had actual floors and walls. In the center of the room, was Gizmo's large airship--currently under construction by several chao. Supervising them, was a sky blue cat chao with a red secondary color, and thick eyebrows. Standing on a stack of crates, he watched over the chao and gave out orders. He turned upon noticing their arrival, and smiled.

"Ah, Captain Gizmo! You've made it." The chao spoke with a bit of an accent. Lina was taken by surprise.
"H-He can talk?" She asked.
"Course I can!" He answered, "As the Elder, I need to be able to communicate with more than just Chao, you see?"
Gizmo stepped forward, smiling at the chao. "Elder Katler, How are the modifications going?"

Katler's smile vanished quickly. "Kitty's doing all the technical stuff inside, but the physical work is coming along pretty smoothly. It should be suited for space travel pretty soon if they keep it up. We just need some more attachments to the hull..."

"Right. We're on it!" Splice exclaimed. Gizmo looked at the others and nodded, before they all hurried to the ship to finish up what they had started.

'At the very least she'll live on...' He thought. '...no, what Lucretia has in store for her is probably a fate worse than death...' His head hung low again. His hat had fallen to the floor below him. 'and I don't even have the dignity to die with my trademark hat on..' He didn't even have the will to sigh anymore. 'What's the use...I can't do anything right in the end. If I'm gonna die..just let me die already..'

"D-Diana! Are..Are you alright...!?" He cried out. The feeling from seeing her awake, yet terrified was overwhelming to him. He wanted to reach out to her, but was still restrained.
