Sorry for the slow progress. I've been very distracted over the past few days due to some relatives visiting.
I've completed a few miscellaneous things, but failed to get much farther in the story. Due to being distracted, I've often started on something and then get thrown off by something, and then forget what I was doing by the time I get back and then start on something else. Repeat.
Through all of that, here's a few various things I managed to get down.
Kyle has learned a new skill: Flash Strike. Now, he only needs one animation to be completed before he is rendered a complete character.
Gizmo has learned 2 new skills. Or rather, one new skill and recovered one old skill from before the last database corruption. Blast Cannon and Energize. Blast Cannon looks better than it did before. Gizmo can be considered a completed character now that he's recovered his lost skill, but I am going to go back and redo some of his sprites and animations.
I have discovered the possibility of a skill where one character can give up their own HP to another person. The only problem is that you'll have to set it to heal everyone, otherwise it won't work. I have given that skill to Violet, seeing how she lacks in skills and also was the Guinea Pig for it. From that discovery, I have created a skill for Cymbeline called "Sacrifice". I'm sure you know how that works. She pretty much gives up her own life to completely restore everything to everyone in the party.
Smash only needs a few animations redone, and he's complete. MAINLY just an update in sprites which shouldn't take too long. But as I'm going along, I will have to go back and remove the spikes from his knuckles on all of his sprites. Only then will he be truly complete.
Sonic has been a decently playable character since the days of before Splice The Hedgehog. But nowadays there have been updates to him and he's a lot more fun to use. But he's still incomplete. I have made a few things for him though that makes him more compatible with this particular game, and he has a remade spindash skill now. (The old one was lost and crappy to begin with.)
Also, here's the biggest update of them all.
Tadaaa! Two friends of mine helped out with this. One did the text and the other upgraded Splice himself. I love the way it came out.
Thats about all I've gotten done in the past week and weekend. I'm gonna keep at it and try my best.

Give up? NO WAY! Things were just getting good in the story. This is the farthest I've ever gotten in a game that had all the good elements I lacked and even more that I never even imagined having before. I'm gonna keep on going!
Thanks, Cy'. You actually got my inspiration up.

I suppose it's only right to give you guys an update.
As stated above, I took my break for a while. Although I still did a few minor things here and there, and even got started on the northern parts of Green Flower City.
But now, I've gone ahead and finished up Smash for (almost) good. The only things I haven't done are these; Remove all the spikes off of his knuckles in each and every one of his sprites used in the game, and redo his signature move: Skull Cracker.
There are a lot of little things I've gone ahead and done to modify the gameplay a bit. I will upload two videos to show here later. One will show how Smash has turned out in his final updates that make him a completely completed character, and the second one will show all the small updates and experiments I've conducted. I may need help with some things. It'll become clear what I'm talking about after you've seen the video.
When I'll get them both recorded? I don't know. I hope to have them both up by Monday, but somehow I doubt I'll be able to pull that off. I will try, though.
And after that, I should be able to finally progress in the story. Kapus finally got around to making that area. I just need to take it and fix it up a bit so that it'll be ready for him to make the scene, and I'll take it from there.

Okay, since I seem to have a thing for losing character's skills and having to do them over and sometimes leaving some out, I'm going to make a list right here. Each character, every skill.
Splice The Hedgehog (Other than the Axe kick skill, which I haven't even made for Sonic yet, Splice is complete!)
Spindash Fire Spindash Ice Spindash Needle Spindash --Each Spindashes pierce defense. Fire Fire2 Fire3 Fire4 Flare Ice Ice2 Ice3 Ice4 Glacier Ice Bomb --Elemental skills. More or less effective on certain enemies. Speed Up Haste --Don't confuse the two. Speed up puts a characters speed up a little, while Haste gives them the actual condition 'Haste' which doubles the speed of the character. Light Charge Light Speed Dash --The two are closely related. Light charge comes first, then Light Speed Dash is available. Only 4 characters can use it. Sonic, Splice, Speedy, and Daz. They all have their --own attributes that can help in different ways. Splice's hits all enemies with Fire and Ice elements. Ice Breaker Flame Dive --Both death attacks. They have a better chance of working depending on which one you use on who. Flame Barrier Frost Barrier --Both protect an ally from Fire or Ice based attacks. (Skills learned from other characters) Hyper Speed Up - Speedy The Hedgehog Endless Bash - Speedy The Hedgehog Heal - Violet The Hedgehog Flame Thrower - Kyle The Hedgehog Axe Kick - Sonic The Hedgehog --I plan on having characters be able to learn stuff from other characters somehow. I'll have it work out, hopefully.
Sonic The Hedgehog
Speed Up Haste Focus --Focus is only on himself. It raises all stats a little bit. 1-2 Kick Spin Kick Spindash PowerDash Axe Kick Sonic Flare Sonic Updraft Sonic Eagle Blue Tornado Sonic Wind Confuse Air Thok Bounce Attack --Most of theme come from previous Sonic games. Very few I made up myself. (Skills learned from other characters) Endless Bash - Speedy The Hedgehog/Violet The Hedgehog Hyper Speed Up - Speedy The Hedgehog --
Miles "Tails" Prower
(No ideas yet) --I'll think of some.
Knuckles The Echidna
(No ideas yet) --I'll think of some.
Speedy The Hedgehog
Fire Fire2 Fire3 Fire4 Fire5 Flare --Basic fire skills. Fireball Speedy Flare Eruption Explosion Blazing Fury --Fire Attack/Personal Fire skills. He adds his attack power in these skills unlike with the basic fire skills above. Speed Up Haste Hyper Speed Up --Only support skills he has Endless Bash Speedy Combo Speedy Backflip Speedy Special Light Speed Charge Light Speed Dash --Personal Skills (Skills learned from other characters) Axe Kick - Sonic The Hedgehog
(this is unfinished. I am editing this right now, I posted so I could save it.)
I knew this was a good idea. I'm glad I posted it. Now I can do something with it.

Okay. Here's what I got.
I finished the test playing, got up to where I left off in the story with everyone above level 5. (Sonic&Splice at level 9, while Tab is level 7 and Crystal level 6) That's good for this part of the game. Possible a tad overleveled, but it's good. Going any higher would be over trained. The only thing I missed was an optional boss which starts a side quest.
Now that I've finished the test playing, you should know that I've fixed just about everything that needs to be fixed, in terms of glitches and stuff. So I should now be getting ready for the technical stuff for getting the demo ready for a release.
Now, there are some things you need to know. Tab's charset is obviously not finished. Some times she'll have her very first beta sprites, (which look like a choppy purple Gizmo recolor) Sometimes she'll have her completely up to date sprites but will disappear because they aren't finished being put together. So, don't mind that too much. Crystal is not finished either. Although her charset is about as good as it's gonna get, in battle she still has a few things to work out.

Character Progress
Number of Completed Characters: 5
Splice, Smash, Kyle, Frost, Gizmo.
More skills can be added to: Splice, Kyle, Gizmo. Frost's skills may or may not be remade specifically for this game.
Number of Decently playable Characters (I.e, can go into and out of battle without disappearing or having glitchy animations, not counting status changes): 8
Story Progression: 2% complete. Completed intro and first objective. Will move onto second objective after demo release.
Map creation progress:
World Map: 2% complete. Only the main island is there, and it's not complete yet.
Green Flower City: 83% Complete. The Docks need to be completed, and characters houses, along with a few NPC's houses and adding NPC's to the city.
GFC Sewers: 8% Complete. It's looking pretty good, but there's still so much more that could be added to it.
Green Flower Zone: Act 1 - 10% Complete/Act 2 - 1% Complete. Still needs a lot of work.
Fox Forest: ??% Complete. It's looking beautiful so far, but it's unknown how much more will be added onto it.
Night Forest Zone: 5% Complete. It still needs a lot more work, although the only map that it has so far is complete.
Station Square: 0% Complete. It's not nearly done. It was only just started on.
Character Selects: ??% Complete. It won't be fully complete until the end of the game. The character select changes depending on where you are. However, the functions of the Character Select itself aren't even fully complete.
Various elements:
Elemental Rings: 1% Complete. There are many Elemental Rings, and only few of them work and even fewer people are compatable with them at the moment.
Jumping: 91% Complete. It works, but there needs to be sprites of everyone jumping. Therefor, its not quite complete yet.
Running: Disabled. This feature caused many glitches in the gameplay. It was useful for testing, but it's not to be used in the release.
Skits: 70% Complete. They work, but everyone needs Skit animations. Also, there are some things that could be used in the skits to make them more interesting. Also, the Skit Viewer item has been disabled. You now press the number "0" to activate the skits.
Journal: 5% Complete. A feature that was newly created, but it looks rather impressive. It needs much work before it's ready to be shown off in action.
Character Skill sharing: 0% Complete. Basically, Characters can learn skills from eachother. It hasn't been started on, but it can work.
Alternate Costumes: 1% complete. Only Gizmo has one so far. He doesn't have one in battle though. Not yet atleast.
Time of Day: 99% Complete. There were some glitches with it, but once those have been ironed out, it will be complete.
Character Affection: 100% Complete. It works, but the game isn't up to a point to where it effects anything yet.
Overlimit/Trance/High Tension: 50% Complete. It apparently works, but it needs more work.
Item Creation/Synthesis: 10% Complete. It needs a whole lot more work and effert put into it.
Yeah, that's what I've got. I'm gonna get the stuff ready.
I took all the areas in Green Flower City and turned it all into one big map there. It may look pretty choppy, It was made from different maps all put together after all. I didn't complete all the areas in the city as mentioned above, so it's incomplete too. But it'll give you a good idea on where everything is.

Finally. This took longer than it should have. Ah-HHEEEM!! The moment you have been waiting for. It has arrived..
Splice The Hedgehog Demo 1 Download
Now, There's something you should know first. And that is how to set it up. Now, If you don't have it already, you should download this. It's the RPGMaker 2003, the engine used to make the game. It won't run without it. When both downloads are finished, put the Splice the Hedgehog folder inside of the RPGMaker's folder. You should be able to play it then. If it's asking to reinstall, go ahead. the setup is included. Make sure you have it all in the RPGmaker's folder.
Now, the game, here are the controls:
Movement: Arrow keys, Num. Arrow keys. Action Key (basically the "okay" button.): Enter, Control, Spacebar, Num. Enter. Cancel: Esc, Num. 0 (There might be another button for it, but I don't remember.) Jump: Right Shift View Skits: 0 (It should say that when a skit appears.)
That's pretty much all you need to know. Once you got that down, feel free to play! Some advice for playing though: Explore as much as you can before moving on in the story. Otherwise you might miss some things. Also, take a look at the day/night system. If waiting for the timer to run out is too boring, just go take a nap in your house.

Okay so a lot of things happened. In short, I'm gonna be making the Gameplay Video after all, and I completed Gizmo!
Description "Here it is, as promised. Sorry that I'm nearly 2 weeks late. My main computer had gone down the entire of last week. So I was restricted from doing anything on my game.
But now that it got fixed, It runs much faster while recording. So that means I can record the Gameplay videos. I've also managed to get it to run a bit faster in Green Flower Zone. Just to the point to where it's bearable. The map was too large. That combined with the laggyness that the computer had been going through, It was just terrible.
Next, though, Small Updates and Tests 2! Stay tuned!"
