WT: Topaz The Hedgehog VS Smash The Echidna (Winner: Smash The Echidna)

"Hm.." Smash watched as he ran around quickly. With him being on the edge of the ring, he would have to be careful. He needed precise timing. Topaz was also risking falling off and getting a ring out. There were two ideas that came to mind as to how to counter this. The first one he'd do if Topaz were closer, however, if he did it now Topaz would obviously see it coming. The second idea might have a better chance, and could also score a ring out, but he might also see it coming as well. Alright, but I'll have to act quickly. He thought. He focused his energy, and quickly released a blast of energy, transforming into his high tension state. It almost looked like it activated from a mere flinch of a muscle. Immediately afterwards, he thrust his palms forward and focused his energy outward, blowing it all towards the edge of the ring, right where one of the after images were. If Topaz ran into it, he would surely be blown away.

As the multiple images of Topaz circled, they repeated that taunting line over and over again. It was obvious that Topaz was trying to psyche Smash out.
You're too slow! You're too slow!
Once Smash had released his burst of energy, the images were indeed blown away, but not one of them was solid. With the distraction eliminated, one could notice the ring of dust shoot upward at one point, but it was too late to matter. At such a high speed, Topaz was able to leap high into the air unnoticed, leaving him in the perfect position to shoot downward with his water barrier, hopefully landing right on top of Smash.

Smash lowered his hands and looked around. Topaz was nowhere in sight. He knew that there was no way he could have left the ring. There was only one place he could have gone if he wasn't in sight. Smash threw himself to the side, rolling away from his current spot.

Topaz hit the ground hard, rebounding to about half of the original height. He followed up quickly by pulling the first ring out of his vest, calling forth his flail-like weapon, and shooting it towards Smash, all before he hit the ground. Topaz was indeed very fast, and he was now clearly doing everything he could to make sure Smash was well aware of it.

Smash sprung back up to his feet and twirled around, giving the steel ball a powerful spin kick to knock it out of the way.

As the ball flew to the side, Topaz swung it upward. Once he landed back on the ground, he brought it back down hard, aiming for Smash's head. If this one hit, Topaz would have pulled off his own "Skull Cracker".

Smash dashed forward, releasing a burst of energy behind him to propel him forward. The ball landed with a crash, scattering pieces of the floor under it in every which direction. In only a matter of seconds, he was already about to hit him with the real version of "Skull Cracker".

Topaz knew what was coming next. Dodging it would put him at risk of a follow-up attack, so he blocked it instead. By crossing his arms, both the fire barrier and water barrier went up at the same time, haulting the force of the attack and bouncing Smash away. The barriers disappeared afterwards, and the two rings fell to the ground broken in half. He was short two advantage, but it bought him enough time to ready himself for Smash's next move.

Smash was bounced backwards, but he quickly regained his footing. He grabbed onto the extended chain and pulled himself forward, shoving his foot into Topaz' chest.

The kick knocked Topaz to the ground, but he quickly tried to do the same to Smash from the ground, this time twice in succession. He retracted the chain simultaneously to ensure that there wouldn't be a repeat.
