WT: Topaz The Hedgehog VS Smash The Echidna (Winner: Smash The Echidna)

Smash watched him fly up, and slightly gasped at seeing him coming down at him like a drill. He quickly moved back, trying to get out of range, and was ready to punch him when he got to the ground.

The impact caused a burst of light and dust. The force of the shockwave was immense. For some time, nothing was visible inside. Eventually, as the dust cleared, a crater became visible adjacent to the one made by Smash earlier. Topaz knealt down inside it, panting.

Smash had been knocked over from the burst of light. He was lying on his back just outside of the crater, seemingly more shocked than hurt. "Whoa, what?" He slowly sat up and looked down into the crater.

I'm not through yet... I don't care if I win this thing... I came here to get my name out... but I'm not going to be known... as the guy who lost in the first round!
With another shockwave of energy, the dust was blown away. Topaz still looked tired, yet somehow stronger. The black flames circling him burned brighter than ever.

Smash looked down in the crater, watching his transformation. "This...is not good." He said to himself. After all that, he's getting even STRONGER!? Oh, I can't even BEGIN to describe how screwed I am. He stepped away from the crater, clutching his chest. I don't even know if I could have lasted much longer against his last form. Geez...I need to get my energy back...

((He hasn't transformed again. His Gem Shine/Dark Jewel form is powered by emotions. Is determination an emotion? He's actually starting to get a little angry at this point, so his power is increasing.))
Standing tall again, Topaz brought both of his arms forward and lay his hands over top of eachother, pointed at Smash. The flames began to form a circle around his hands about a meter in diameter, and spun around fast. Their light formed a ring of energy, which shot out a powerful, blacklight beam at Smash on Topaz's command.
Black Hellfire!!!

Smash was too weak to move in time. He managed to leap to the side, but the blast still got him, and knocked him spinning through the air like a Frisbee. He landed on the ground a good distance away from Topaz, nearly reaching the edge of the ring. He groaned in pain, but refused to stay down. He tried to force himself back to his feet, ignoring the burning pain all over his body.

Topaz called the flames back to his side and gave a heavy grunt. Whether it was from exhaustion or otherwise, one could not tell. He slowly stepped out of the crater and threw the flames at Smash one by one, alternating between hands. They were slower this time, and not all on their mark, but still quite powerful.
It's over Smash. You're worn out... but all it's done is make me stronger.

Smash felt himself getting pelted by the flames, one by one. Each one made him lean further in the opposite direction until he lost his balance and fell over again. He was panting heavily, and badly burnt up.

"It looks like Smash is down again!" The announcer cried out. "1...2...3...4...5...6..."

Smash once again forced himself off the ground. "No...it's..not over yet." He said, gritting his teeth through the pain. "I've still got...one more shot.." This is my last chance... He thought.

It was clear now. Topaz too was getting tired. He haulted his bombardment and weakly tried one more Jewel Flare. To the same effect as before, the flames were slower and scattered slightly, but all on target.
