Moonlight Visitor

Percy began to laugh at Mike's reaction, making Mike wonder if it was a joke or not.

Diana looked at them both strangely, but decided not to ask questions. She yawned a few times, feeling a bit sleepy.

"Why don't you two go ahead and sleep." Percy said, noticing his sister's repeated yawning.

"But what are you gonna do?" Diana asked, now noticing that her brother wouldn't have a place to sleep tonight.

"I'm gonna go keep watch outside." he answered, about to put his hood on.

"No, brother..wait!" Diana cried out, not wanting him to go again. She didn't mean it to sound so dramatic, but she really did want him to stay with her.

Percy looked over at her, confused at first, but gave her a light smile. "Don't worry Diana I'll be back soon. It'll all be okay..Just go to sleep. I'll wake you when we defeat them." he said, trying to comfort her.

"But I wanted to.." Diana looked down. "Get to know you a little more.." She wanted this time to get to know him..while there wasn't any danger around. But someone did have to keep a look out and she knew he was only doing what he had to do..

"Alright..you and Mike go sit down on the bed, and I'll tell you a few things before I go if you want." Percy gave in, not wanting her to be so sad.

Diana smiled, and her and Mike did what they were told while Percy stood over to the bookshelf, looking for something.

The two kids were curious to know what he was getting as he searched through a book.

"Here." he said, and handed them two pictures.

Diana held them up for her and Mike to see. In the first picture was Percy holding his arm around a pretty female black rabbit. She had short blue hair and sparkling blue eyes. She was holding a little baby that looked a lot like Percy, but had the woman's blue hair. In front of the three, was a little boy rabbit that looked around the age of 5. He had Percy's brown hair and blue eyes, but was black like the woman.

In the second picture, it had the woman and the two kids. But the kids looked a little older.

Both Diana's and Mike's eyes went wide. "This is.." Diana began.

"That's my family." Percy finished for her, smiling gently. "My wife Rachael, my daughter Serenity, and my son Joshua."

Mike stared at the picture for a few moments. "..Wow...I didn't know you had a whole family.." He said, softly. They looked so happy in the picture, but it made him wonder. "Where are they now..?" He asked, looking up at Percy. He'd hoped that they were okay.

Percy's smile faded a little as he thought about it. "They're living with Rachael's uncle in hiding."

"Hiding?" Diana and Mike asked in unison.

"Yeah..Since I am a fugitive on my planet, I can't ever let Lucretia know where we're at.." he explained with pain in his voice.

Diana felt the sting of tears well up in her innocent blue eyes. She surprised Percy in a sudden embrace, not knowing what she could say to make him feel better.

The brown rabbit just closed his eyes and smiled gently as he patted her back.

"But that'll change tomorrow.." he said, pulling her away from him gently. Diana smiled too with a nod, happy that she got to know a little about him..

"Heh..well, are you two ready for bed now?" he asked, almost playfully.

"Yeah.." Diana answered for both of them. She handed the pictures back to him, and smiled at Mike before she layed down.

"Alright..I'll be back. Mike?"

Mike looked at him in wonder.

"Take care of her.." he said quietly, and put his hood up before walking out of the cave.

Mike nodded. 'I will..' He thought, somewhat confidently.
As Diana laid in the bed, Mike sat at the edge of it, staring at the ceiling. 'I wonder how they'll do tomorrow..?' He wondered. 'Will everything go as planned..? And what about Lina? I'm kinda worried about her now. What is she going to do if...no, it's Diana they're after. But still...Gizmo, watch her for me...'

"Mike..?" Diana's worried voice brought Mike out of his deep thought.

"Yes?" Mike looked back towards her. "What's wrong?"

"Aren't you going to lay down? What's the matter?" She asked.

"Oh. Yeah, sorry. I was just thinking." Mike said, scratching the back of his head. "I'm just wondering how everyone will do tomorrow. I hope everything works out." He admitted.

Diana looked down, showing him the sadness and pain she'd been keeping in for awhile. "I know..me too. I'm so worried about them.."

Mike looked down as well. There was a brief moment of silence between them. "..Hey, I think they'll pull through in the end." He said, looking back up at her with a smile. "From all the stories Gizmo's told me about, they've dealt with worse. And if only a few of them took out two of their warriors by themselves, think about how they'll do when the whole gang teams up on them!"

"Heh.." Diana smiled a bit with him. It was nice that he was reassuring her. Of course she knew that the fighters could handle themselves just fine..she had seen it herself twice. During the fight with Daigon and Jen and the sparring they did in Smash's back yard. Even though she was worried about them, something else had stuck to the back of her mind this whole time. Something she was ashamed about..

"Umm..Mike? Can I be honest with you?"

"Huh? Uhhh..sure Diana. What is it?" he asked, wondering what she needed to say.

"I know that Lucretia is the reason for me losing my memories..and..killing my parents...and the reason Percy can't live a free life but.." she took a deep breath. "I just don't feel comfortable with the fact that Lucretia has to die...I mean, she's my sister..and I.." Diana could feel her tears falling down her cheeks, thinking this was all so silly.

Mike frowned. "..I hadn't thought about it like that.." He said, softly. "Well.." He wiped her tears away with the back of his fingers. "If it helps, we could try to convince her to change her ways..." He then remembered that they were supposed to stay there. '...Somehow.' He tried to smile again for her, "Don't cry, we'll find a way somehow."

"Yeah.." Diana smiled..happy to get that off of her chest. She knew she could confide in him. She knew he wouldn't think it was silly..And she really hoped that what he said would come true tomorrow..

"Well come on.." she said suddenly, and patted the empty spot next to her. "Lay down next to me." And smiled innocently.

Mike blushed again, remembering that they had to share the bed. But for some reason, he didn't feel as embarrassed now. "Okay.." He laid down next to her, and looked up at the ceiling. He began to wonder what they were going to do while the others were out fighting. They'd have the entire day to themselves.
