As everyone made their way to the living room, Lina noticed Percy about to sit down on the couch. "Wh-who is that?" she asked.

"This is Perseus. Er..Percy. He's..Diana's brother." Gizmo said, filling her in. Lina looked surprised.

"You're that man that led my brother to Diana." Lina stated. Percy nodded, and motioned her to sit down with the rest of them. "Come..all of you need to hear this." he said.

Mike and Diana sat together with Lina and Gizmo on the couch opposite to Percy and Smash, while everyone else either sat on the floor or found a few extra chairs to sit in.

Percy looked over to Diana with understanding, who was holding onto Mike's hand for comfort. She looked a little anxious and nervous at the same time.

"Do you want to know everything? You still have the choice to completely forget everything and have a normal life.." he explained. From the way he sounded, it was like he was trying to persuade her to stay ignorant of her past.

Diana nodded quickly. "Yes..brother, please..tell me everything. After all that's happened...I-I don't think I can have just a normal life anymore.."

Percy frowned. "Very well..I'll tell you what you need to know. Just bear with me, alright?"

Smash nodded, wanting to hear everything he had to say. "Alright..Please tell us everything we need to know." He requested.

Diana nodded with confidence, but unknowingly squeezed Mike's hand harder from being nervous. "Hey..Its alright. I'm right here." Mike cooed to her, and used his other hand to gently stroke the top of her hand. Diana smiled gently at him. "Thanks.." she said quietly, then turned to face her brother.

Percy crossed his arms and closed his eyes, recalling all of the events that were of importance.

"Diana, you and I weren't the only children born into the next generation of our monarchy. We also have an older sister named Lucretia, who was supposed to be the rightful heir to the throne.."

The name 'Lucretia' sounded familiar to everyone present in the battle. They remembered that Daigon was the one who had mentioned her.

"You see, on our planet, the eldest born is destined to one day lead the people."

"So then..why is it you said Diana was going to be the queen if she's the youngest?" Smash asked.

"Well, because it's usually the eldest gets chosen." Percy answered.

"Chosen? By whom?" Smash asked, completely puzzled.

"By 'The Moon Crystal of Animas.' It's a large, beautiful jewel that controls all life on our planet."

"The Moon Crystal of Animas...?" Smash repeated. He and a few others felt their gaze drift towards the necklace Diana wore around her neck. "A jewel that controls all life on the planet...Is your world called Animas?" He asked, looking back at him.

Mike, while looking at her necklace, noticed that Diana was looking unusually serious. She remembered in her dream, her older sister tried and failed when she was going to be accepted.

"Correct." Percy answered. "The jewel resides in the royal city of Luna Aquadisa, inside the castle's gates. When the three of us were very young, our parents and the residents of the city were present in the crowning ritual for Lucretia. In the ritual, the eldest is supposed to touch the crystal and let it see you. It looks deep within the soul, and when it chooses you, the jewel acts as a prism and glows as brightly as the person's heart. At first when Lucretia touched it, it was like any other ritual..but then,"

“It glowed dark red and rejected her.” Diana finished, the serious look never leaving her face.

Perseus, along with everyone else looked surprised.

“I-I can’t explain it, but last night, after I fainted..for some reason I dreamt that memory.” she explained.

“You did?” Mike asked. Then he suddenly remembered that she’d mentioned it the same night, feeling a little bad for not remembering.

Percy had a strange look on his face, almost as if he wished she hadn’t seen the memory. But soon he returned to looking serious, after shrugging something off. “That’s right. Then I’m sure you know how you were selected. And that father was the one who presented you the necklace.”

Diana nodded. “Please tell me if I’m right brother..but does that mean since I was chosen, I have the power to be this….this monster?” she asked slowly.

Percy’s eyes went wide with shock for a second, but he soon frowned again, closing his eyes as he nodded. “Being the next ruler of Animas has its curses as well.” he said with pain in his voice. “You were trusted by the powerful crystal to have its secret power. As it controls all life on the planet, it also has its powers of evil as well as good.”

Both Mike and Lina were shocked by his words. 'S-so that means...that she really is the monster...' Lina thought.

"And that's why they wanted to get their hands on her.." Mike said, lowly. "To force her into that monster for their own selfish needs..."

"Y'know, it makes sense in a way." Smash said. Everyone looked at him, wondering what he meant. "That it has both good and evil powers within it."

"What do you mean?" Mike asked.

"Well think of it this way." Smash began to explain, "Wherever there's light, there's always a shadow cast behind. Without the shadow, there would always be the light of day. We'd never see the night. There would be imbalance. If we think about Light being the goodness of the world and shadow as the evil, it makes sense that it has the two elements because it's balanced. Without any evil, there would be no balance." He looked up at Percy. "Though I probably could have worded it better, is that not right?"

"I guess it makes sense..." Mike said. "..and I guess it's a good thing that it was entrusted to Diana." He looked over at Diana, smiling warmly. "She's a good person. Someone like her would never exploit the evil that was given to her. That's why she would have been a good leader...that's why she was chosen, wasn't it?"

Diana tried to hide her face as she blushed a dark red from Mike's caring words. But thinking about what Mike said..she hadn't thought of it that way before.

"Yes and Yes." Percy answered. "You are both very perceptive. That was why she was chosen, and not our sister. So from that moment on, something dark began to grow inside of Lucretia. Everyone, including our parents began to give Diana the attention she once had. Some were even afraid of her. The adults of our kingdom told their children not to go anywhere near her."

Diana and some in the room looked down, feeling sorry for poor little Lucretia.

"You, me, and our parents did everything we could to make her happy and try to get rid of all of the hatred she had for the children and everyone else that shunned her, but it was too late. The jealousy of you and the hatred she had overpowered her heart and she grew distant from us. Then one day.."

Percy paused, trying to find the right words as the painful memories flashed through his mind once more.

"Lucretia snapped. She got her little lackeys together, and they attacked the castle. No one on the outside knew who was attacking, but we did. Mother and father did their best to protect us from her. We even made it as far as getting into our ship and leaving the planet..But she caught up to us. For some reason..and I don't know how, but our parents knew they were going to die that day.." he paused with the same look of pain and regret in his eyes.

Diana felt her heart stop. Her breathing halted, and she felt herself shaking.

"We all...said our goodbyes after Lucretia made it aboard the ship. You and mother had a quick talk about something that made you very upset. But soon, you nodded with tears in your eyes and agreed for her to use the crystal so you would forget everything...All I can remember was a bright flash and seeing you fast asleep and flying in space..Right after that was when Lucretia came smashing through the door. She killed our parents right in front of me and took me back to the kingdom where I was tortured to tell her where you were..When I escaped I was shocked to see that no one knew that Lucretia was the one that killed them..She...She said some enemy killed everyone but her so she could become the next ruler with no questions asked.."

Diana's eyes were glazed over. A whole wave of different emotions hit her heart in all the vulnerable places.

Everyone was almost just as shocked as she was. Mike felt his grip on Diana's hand tightening.
"How..horrible..." Lina gasped softly.

"Diana..." Mike wasn't sure what to say, at this point. He felt almost as if he'd been shot through his chest.

Smash looked down, his face was hidden behind his hair. Somehow, it felt familiar to him. Someone he knew had a similar story. 'That's right...' He remembered. 'He had a similar situation, which ultimately lead him to meeting us...it was Kyle...' He closed his eyes, knowing that Kyle's situation had gotten better eventually, and wasn't nearly as brutal or tragic.

Gizmo as well, was beginning to relate this to another person he knew. 'She's from another world, too...she has a strange necklace that reacted negatively to the Power Crystal, and Chaos Energy altogether...Kyla...she has no memories of her world, or anything relating to it. Could it be that...something like this has happened to her, too..?' He glanced over at Diana, who appeared to be in shock. She hadn't said a word since Mike encouraged her. He began to imagine what Kyla's reaction would be if she had heard a similar story centered around her. '...N-not to mention, her people were...completely wiped out...' He couldn't take it, judging by the facts he knew and the similarities between her and Diana, there was a high chance that she suffered as much as her, if not worse. The mere thought of that was heart-wrenching. He turned away from the group, trying to hide a stream of tears running down his face.

"...And that's why..." Mike suddenly spoke, breaking the silence of the room. "That's why we can't let them have Diana." Everyone looked at him, somewhat surprised. "Your mom and dad both died to keep her out of their clutches. You went through years of torture for her sake, when you could have just told them where she was and ended the pain. Your sacrifices won't have any meaning if we let them have her. And now that they know where she is, They'll keep coming for her non-stop." He stood up. "I'm going to fight. I'll do anything it takes to keep them away from Diana. Even if it means that I have to kill them...I won't let them have her. Not after all that you've been through!"

Both Diana and Percy's pupils went small from shock for a split second. What Mike said had touched them deeply. And for a few moments, they didn't know how to respond.

"M-Mike..." Diana said aloud, her voice cracking as she felt her eyes welling up with tears. She released his grip on her hand and dove into his arms for comfort. Her loud sobs were being muffled out as she cried into his chest, letting out all of the instant pain and suffering her heart was going through.

Mike hugged her back, closing his eyes and stroking her hair. "It's okay...I'll be here for you..."

Smash smiled at Mike. "He's right. And we're all with you until the end." He looked around at everybody. "We're all in this together. Heck, If we're gonna fight them, Why don't we take back your world while we're at it?" He asked, looking at Percy with confidence.

Gizmo wiped the tears from his eyes and looked back at everyone. "Y-yeah...That sounds like a good idea.." He was trying to hide the cracking in his voice, and sound strong for everyone else.
