Mike could only watch helplessly from the back, unable to do anything. He knew that if he spoke up, it would only result in her amusement. He just hung from the chains, too broken to even try to free himself.

"After all these years you still look the same..mocking me..reminding me of why our parents and everyone on our planet loved you more.." Lucretia said aloud to no one with hatred. But she suddenly smiled and loosened her tight grip, playing with a few strands of Diana's hair. The necklace Diana had around her neck was what brought Lucretia from her hate. "But it'll all end soon enough..soon you'll take your rightful place as my slave, killing all who come in my way..little sister." she paused, enjoying the sound of what she just said. She was finally going toget her revenge on Diana for taking everything away from her..

After taking one more look at the powerful moon crystal, Lucretia roughly laid Diana back down on the floor like a rag doll. "Let's go Mizuchi..I'm done with her for now." she said quickly before locking Diana's cell again.

Mike felt those words strike him like a blade. 'She's going to use her as a monster slave...' He gritted his teeth; He couldn't bear to think of her in that state. 'I-It looks like Lina's dream is coming true...' He looked up. '..I'm sorry, Lina....I'm sorry...Diana...'

Gizmo opened the front door to Smash's house, walking in ahead of the others. He stepped aside to let Splice walk in, carrying Perseus on his back, and set him down on the couch.

"There..." He let out a heavy sigh, as he turned to look at him. "This is far from what I expected..." He glanced over towards Gizmo and the others entering the house. "Where did we go wrong? We were so close..! We could've had em!"

"A mis-calculation, it seems.." Gizmo answered, in an emotionless tone. "We underestimated Lucretia's blood bending abilities. She managed to use it on two different people at the same time. They just happened to be the only two fighting her.."

"I guess we should have backed them up some more.." Pearl said, looking down regretfully.

Jessie pounded her fist against the wall behind her. "Dang it! Why did it have to turn out like this..!? We were winning!"

Gizmo turned away from the group, and left into the kitchen. Violet looked up at him with concern, but knew he was just going to call his dad to pick him up.

Gizmo stopped by the phone on the wall, and took it off the hook. He held up his hand to dial the number, when a voice beside him made him stop. "Gizmo...You're back. How...did it go...?" Gizmo didn't even glance at the speaker, and simply hung the phone back up.
"...Gizmo?"
He turned to look at Lina, who was very anxious to know what the situation was. He couldn't describe what he was feeling right now, but it was far from good. He couldn't find the right words to say to her. Knowing that either way, she wouldn't take it well at all, he decided to tell her straight up. His hesitation was only making her even more nervous, anyway.
"Lina..." He glanced to the side briefly. "..I know this...isn't going to be easy for you..but please, bear with me." He said, softly. She began to look scared, realizing that he had only bad news. "It turns out..Mike and Diana were taken...by them." He struggled to say.
"W-what..!?" Lina gasped.
"..We were supposed to fight them..and if we won, we'd get them back." He continued. "Everything was going according to plan, but...we underestimated Lucretia's blood bending capabilities.." He lowered his head, closing his eyes tightly. "..w-which resulted in Smash and Percy..just barely getting out alive..."
Lina gasped again, covering her mouth with her hand. The mere thought of it horrified her.
"And now they got away..they left back to their home world....we couldn't stop them..." He finished.
Lina stared in shock. She couldn't believe it; Everything that could have possibly gone wrong, did. She looked like she was going to break down into tears.
"I-I'm sorry, Lina..." Gizmo looked back up at her, holding back his own tears. "But I swear, this isn't over..We're going..to get them back." His voice was nearly breaking up. "We're going to save Mike, and bring him back safely..I promise."

Meanwhile, Kitty hadn't ever actually entered the house. He flew down the city's roads by himself, heading off to Green Flower Zone ahead of everyone else. He hadn't a moment to lose...

A black female rabbit with pale blue eyes sat by herself on the kitchen table, looking through an old photo album in the middle of the night as her children slept in the next room. She smiled lightly as she remembered when a few of the happy photos were taken, feeling an overwhelming nostalgia she hadn’t felt in ages. A picture of her when she was little, playing with a pink and a brown rabbit suddenly caught her attention as she turned the next page.

“Diana..” she whispered softly, touching the part of the photo where her lost best friend was. She looked over to the young brown rabbit, and felt an even deeper sadness tug at her heart. “Perseus…I miss you both.” she said, now sobbing quietly. The tears that feel from her cheeks made a light pitter patter noise as they fell onto the old album.

“Rachael..”

She quickly looked across the kitchen to the doorway, where her old uncle stood. “Oh..Uncle Eros..I-I didn’t see you come in.” she said quickly, wiping her tears away in shame.

The aging black rabbit with ashy white hair looked at his niece with sad compassion. “Everything will be alright, so don’t you worry yourself. Percy will come back soon..this time with Diana.” he tried to assure.

The fragile woman nodded slowly, giving him a sad smile. “I know..but he’s been gone for almost a week now. And before that, he was gone for nearly a month..Its just..hard. Especially with how upset the kids get sometimes.”

He nodded, understanding what she was going through. The life his niece lived was not an easy one. Her, Percy and the children had to stay in a secret basement under his house with no windows and barely any contact with the outside world. Both Joshua and Serenity haven’t even been outside since they were born, leaving Rachael to be their only playmate when her husband had to go away to find Diana.

He was about to say something to her until they heard little Serenity cry from the next room over. Both Rachael and Eros looked at each other with worry, then quickly ran into the children’s room to see what was wrong.

The little 4 year old rabbit was sobbing uncontrollably in her bed as her older brother hugged her, trying to comfort her. A chao made completely out of water watched the two children with sad eyes, and tried its best to do what it could to comfort the little girl too.

“M-Mommy!” little Serenity cried out when she saw her coming through the door.

“What’s wrong?” Rachael asked, panicking.

“She had a bad dream.” Joshua said lowly, rubbing his sister’s back.

Rachael smiled softly at her daughter, and sat down on the bed. Serenity immediately latched onto her mother, still sobbing loudly.

“What was the dream about sweetheart?” she asked softly, trying to calm her daughter enough so she could tell her.

“That d-daddy was never coming back…” the young girl wailed, remembering the pain the nightmare had caused her.

“Awww…shh..It’ll be alright.” her mother cooed gently. “It was only a bad dream, sweetie. Dreams aren’t real.”

“B-But-” Serenity tried to protest.

“What has your father always told you right before he would leave?” Rachael suddenly asked.

“Th-that he loves us and he will always come back no matter what..” the girl answered, sniffling.

“That’s right.” her mother agreed, smiling. “And he always came back, right?”

Serenity nodded, feeling a little better now.
“Alright then. He’ll always come back to us Serenity. Just remember that, and you won’t feel sad about it anymore.” Rachael did her best to stay strong for both of her children at that moment, because deep down she felt as though she would fall apart.

“Chao chao!”

The 4 looked over to the water chao giggling at it slightly from its giddy flying around the room.

“Look..Illy’s happy that you’re feeling better.” Joshua said with a smile.

Serenity smiled back at him and gave her small family a group hug. “I love you both..” Rachael said softly, feeling the sting of tears coming.

Suddenly, they all heard a loud flashing sound, causing the siblings to look up in happiness. That was the sound that their father’s device made whenever he would come home!

“Daddy!” they both cried out, and ran into the living room with Illy not too far behind. Both Rachael and her uncle looked at each other with happy faces. Before they could go to the living room though, they heard Serenity give out a horrified scream.

“Wh-What is it?” Rachael cried, terrified. So many thoughts went through her head as to why her daughter would scream when Perseus finally came home to them..But when she looked in the living room, she saw that it wasn’t her husband lying on the floor..it was a stranger..a blue echidna.

The echidna stirred, slowly regaining consciousness. "..urrgh..." He struggled to push himself up from the floor. "I'm..still alive..?" He groaned in surprise. 'Everything hurts...my arms, my legs, and especially my chest.' As he pushed himself into a kneeling position, he came to realize that he was not where he used to be. "Where..am I..?" He looked around weakly, clutching his aching chest with one hand, and soon noticed the rabbit family staring at him. "Who...?"

"Who are you? And why do you have my husband's teleporter?" Rachael asked sharply, and stood in front of her children protectively.

Smash's eyes widened after she said 'husband'. Before he could answer her, he felt something that felt like a crumpled piece of paper in his hand. It was the photo of Percy's family..they were the same family he stood before now.

'T-This is...!' He looked back up at the family, realizing what this all meant. "I-If I'm here..with your "Husband"'s equipment..then that must mean that he sent me here." He struggled to stand up, but soon stumbled back down to his knees. "My-nngh!..My name is Smash..The Echidna. A-an ally of Perseus...trying to help you all, by fighting L-Lucretia.." He strained to explain, through gritted teeth.

Rachael's eyes grew wide with shock for a moment from the small explanation, but she believed him completely. How else would a stranger she had never met from the planet her husband has been on would know about Lucretia?

She ran to him with worry in her eyes, and gently laid her hand on his shoulder. From a simple touch, her pupils went small. "Lucretia..she used her blood bending on you..but you live." she said in disbelief. Smash nodded and tried to say something, but began to cough out blood.

Both Joshua and Serenity watched in horror from behind their mother.

"Don't worry, Smash. We can talk later about this. Just let me heal you.." she whispered softly, and helped him to the couch.

"T-thank you.." He said, allowing himself to be treated. He accepted her help and stood slowly, making his way to the couch and laying down. He closed his eyes and relaxed, knowing that he was safe for now. Any questions that either of them had would have to wait. For now, he left everything in her hands.
