"Whoa, we're discussing the plan already? Hold your horses, cause the champions are here!"

The sudden outburst from a new voice behind him made Smash and Rachael jump slightly. Smash turned and saw two male yellow rabbits who were possibly twins, and a female black fox standing in the doorway of the kitchen.

"Oh Aaron, you about scared me to death!" Rachael exclaimed, trying to catch her breath.

"You nearly startled me as well." said the green rabbit who was sitting next to Rachael.

"Looks like everyone's on edge today. I thought I saw Kurtis over there jump out of his skin!" Aaron laughed. The fox girl that was standing next to Aaron elbowed him in the side. "Cut it out!" she said with annoyance, looking as if she was used to his behavior.

A vain appeared on Kurtis' forehead. "Would you stop and act your age for once? Everything's a joke to you, isn't it?" he lashed back.

Smash sweatdropped, not really knowing what to say at a time like this. It was weird seeing Kurtis so out of character.

"Hey come on Kurtis! Why do you have to be such a-"

The blue female rabbit that was also sitting next to Rachael the whole time cleared her throat loudly to get everyone's attention.

"Don't forget why we're here.." she said quietly, but sternly. "We don't have time for this nonsense today. When Lucretia gets here, its do or die now. Or do you not realize this danger?"

Aaron and Kurtis both looked down, knowing she was right. "I'm sorry, Crystal." Aaron said as him and the two that were with him sat down on the table.

"Where are my uncle and the others?" Rachael asked Aaron's twin.

"Derrick, Tristan and Julia were a few yards behind us before we came into the house. But I don't know where Leah and Eros are." he answered her with worry.

Rachael's face fell, worried for her uncle and the little girl.

Smash glanced over at Rachael, giving her a reassuring look. "Don't worry. They'll be here for sure." He said. He then looked around at everyone else. "Either way, we don't have much time to wait for them; They'll be here soon. I don't know when exactly, but if my intuition is anything to go by, it's gonna be today. We need to form a plan."

"But we can't make the plan without Eros.." said the black rabbit sitting next to Crystal.

They heard a knock suddenly, and turned to see Tristan, Derrik and Julia now in the doorway.

"Eros is trying to help Leah get away from her family right now. He's alright, but he told me to hurry here so we can start the meeting." explained the older looking red fox.

Everyone but Smash nodded with understanding.

"Helping her get away from her family?" he repeated, dumbfounded.

The black fox named Tristan nodded. "There's been quite a fuss that's been going on in the kingdom all morning. The 'nobles'," he put strong emphasis on the word. "Have been packing up and heading to the castle. Leah's family are a few of Lucretia's followers..and she wants nothing to do with them."

Smash folded his arms. "I see.." He muttered. He thought about how it must be to live with a family of nobles serving someone so evil. But then, he realized that something didn't quite seem right. "So, why are the nobles moving into the castle?" He asked, suddenly. "I could understand if they were going to welcome back their leader, but you said they were 'packing up'? What's going on?"

Everyone but the two small girls looked down.

"What is going on, daddy?" little Vivian asked. Both her and Serenity looked worried.

Rachael and Kurtis immediately turned to them, not wanting their children to know what exactly was going on.

"Well..umm.." Kurtis stammered, not knowing how to answer to his little girl. The sudden tension in the air made Smash scrunch his eyebrows in suspicion.

Rachael stood up, and motioned both of the girls to hold her hand. "Serenity, why don't you and Vivian take Illy in your room to play?" she asked with a warm smile, and began to lead them through the kitchen.

"But daddy.." Vivian stopped, looking up into her father eyes.

Kurtis smiled at her, assuring her that everything was alright. "Don't worry about it sweetie. Nothing bad is going to happen. I promise."

Little Vivian didn't look satisfied, but trusted her father. She smiled at him before letting Rachael lead her and Serenity to the room.

When he was sure the girls were far enough to where they couldn't overhear, Derrik spoke up.

"The people we have on the inside say that Lucretia is planning to eliminate everyone that she hasn't chosen for her 'new kingdom.'" he answered darkly.

Smash nearly froze. His hair stood up on ends, and he felt his heart slam against his chest and sink into his stomach. "Wh-What..!?" He managed to say. "You...You've gotta be kidding me. So basically anyone who wants to live has to take refuge in her castle, while she goes and kills everyone else?"

Derrik nodded slowly. "That's basically how it's going to go down."

Smash gritted his teeth and clenched his fist. It was clear that he was angered by this. "...We can't let this happen."

Kurtis clenched his fists tightly. "We won't.." he vowed, looking over at Rachael who finally came back to the kitchen. "For our children's sake..and for everyone whose lives were destroyed because of that evil witch.."

Rachael nodded, giving him a look of determination with the others. "..And for Diana and everyone we've lost in this battle to claim this kingdom back.." Crystal spoke up in a choked sob.

The green rabbit that was sitting next to her, held his arm around her for comfort.

"And for Mike, as well." Smash said under his breath. He was worried about him being held hostage--and also puzzled by it. What did Lucretia want with him? Had it something to do with him being the 'Chosen One'? He had no idea.
"Alright so, we're in a tight spot here. When is Lucretia going to go through with this plot?" He asked.

Everyone turned to Rachael. She walked over to the table, and pulled out a large, flat touchscreen device of some sort from a briefcase that was sitting in front of her. "From the information she gave to the nobles 8 hours ago, we were able to pin point her exact location. She will be entering the barrier to our planet in exactly 2 hours and 35 minutes." She turned the screen to Smash, letting him see.

There was a lot of strange, alien writing written on the screen, with a ship heading towards a strange light green triangle. On the other side of the triangle, Smash presumed was their planet.

"What is this barrier you're talking about? Is it that weird triangle thing?"

Rachael nodded. "The barrier is a black hole our people created long ago to protect us from outsiders."

"A black hole?" Smash's eyebrows shot up. '...I sure hope the others can make it through, then...Hey wait,' He looked back at the screen, and tried to see if he could pinpoint any other ship heading toward them. "Do you see anyone else heading this way?" He asked.
