Mike laughed a little, feeling all of the negative and helpless emotions vanish as he looked into her eyes.

As he stared at her, the injury on her face from the hit she took for him seemed worse than he thought it was. Her cheek was red and swollen, and her right eye was black. He surprised her with a sudden yet gentle embrace. He didn't want to let go..

"Mike.." Diana could already tell what he was feeling. She hugged him back, so glad to be in his arms again.
"I'm sorry, Diana." He said. "Making you go through all that work to save me, and right after you took that blow for me, too. I..next time, it'll be my turn to help you."

The purple rabbit just smiled sheepishly at him, and gave him a small, gentle kiss. "Its alright.." she assured softly, not wanting him to feel bad. "I'm just glad I was able to do these things for you..because you've done so much for me."

Mike pulled back a little and looked at her. "And you've done a lot for me, too...and I think we're gonna need each other more than ever from now on." He pulled back all the way and looked around. "We're still in the dungeon of Lucretia's ship, so..we're not out of danger yet. Now that we're free, we gotta think about what we're gonna do now..." He bent down and picked up the rest of his stuff and re-equipping them. Diana took off the Claw Gloves and handed them back to him.

After he put his claw gloves back on, Mike looked over to Diana. "Alright, you-" he paused, noticing that she was trembling a little from fear as she looked at the exit.

"D-Diana, what's wrong?" Mike asked, frantically.
"I-I'm scared, Mike..What are we going to do..!?" She stammered. "Lucretia had us locked up in here..what if she finds out that we've escaped? W-what if we can't go back home at all?"

She had a point. She probably didn't know that they were inside of a space ship, away from Mobius, but she was right about not being able to go back home. At least for now. "Aw, Diana." He gave her a comforting hug. "Stay calm. We'll get outta this mess somehow. After all, we can get out of this cell now. That's gotta count for something, right?"
She looked up at him worriedly, as he pulled back. "We might have some trouble getting back home. But as long as we're not chained up, we have a chance. I think we should take a look around here and see what we can learn. That sound okay?"

Diana nodded slowly, trusting him with all of her heart. She wrapped her arm around his, not daring to let go as he led the way through the door cautiously.
