Moonlight Visitor

Part 1 of my part!

Mike awoke suddenly, dazed and confused as he looked around at his surroundings. He was in a large, dark room surrounded by bars. He immediately tried to move, but realized his arms were chained up over his head to the wall. Desperately, he began to pull and tug against the force of the chains, but it was no use. Flashes of the battle between him and Mizuchi began to play through his mind as the pain from it all started to pound throughout his body.

“That’s right..Lucretia and Mizuchi won..They took Diana and me away..” His eyes suddenly grew big with panic, and darted all around the room to try and find her.

He looked to the cell next to him, and spotted her lying down on the ground unconscious. “Diana!” he cried, trying to wake her up. But she didn’t stir. “DIANA!” he yelled again, pulling and tugging against the chains violently, trying to escape them so he could put her in his arms and wake her up..but again his efforts were in vain. With a heavy heart, he hit his back against the wall in frustration.

After he calmed down, he gazed at her for a moment, and gasped softly when he saw the giant bruise on her face from the hit she took for him..The image of the way she looked at him on the ground, crying with no regret in her eyes from her act was stuck in his mind, breaking his heart again.

Time seemed to move in slow motion for Mike, as he saw that Diana had taken the blow right across the face. She collapsed to the ground, only a couple feet away from him.
"DIANA!!" Mike screamed. He suddenly found the strength to move his body, even if just a little bit. He rolled onto his side, his arm flopped over and landed on her arm. "Diana, Diana! Are you okay!? S-Say something!"

Diana's whole head was in pain. She slowly looked up at him, with a stream of tears running down her cheeks. "I-I'm sorry...I tried..." Her voice was breaking up between her soft sobs.

Mike felt his heart stinging through his numb body. Seeing her like that tore him apart. "Diana...no, I'm sorry. I'm failing to keep my promise...B-but I want you to hang in there.."

The purple rabbit smiled lightly through the pain for him. "At least..I was a-able to protect you..for once.." She let out a heavy breath before her eyes rolled to the back of her head, and closed.

With tears streaming down his cheeks, he began to hit the back of his head repeatedly against the wall, punishing himself for not being strong enough to protect her..

“You weren’t supposed to protect me, Diana..I was supposed to protect you!“ he sobbed.

Micheal, after reminiscing his failure, hung silently from the wall. He didn't know what to do, now. He made the wort failure possible, and now he was stuck. Was it really all over for him now? He slowly glanced over at Diana, lying on the cold, hard floor in the next cell. "Diana..." No. He had to find a way out. There had to be some way to escape. He examined the cell around him, trying to think of a way out. Suddenly, he heard a sound coming from the other end of the room. It sounded like an elevator.

"Glad to see that you even care." Mike grunted in a sarcastic tone. "What do you want with me?"

Mike felt his heart freeze with shock. "W-What...!?" He stammered. "Y-you can't..You can't do that..!" He yelled, both in anger and terror. He instinctively yanked and pulled at the chains that bound him to the wall.

Lucretia simply laughed at his reaction. "And why exactly "can't I do that"?" She asked, tauntingly.

"B-Because..." Mike's head hung low, and he fell silent. He didn't have a response.

He looked up immediately. "W-what...!?" He gasped. 'No...She can't mean..I-it's not true..!' Now he felt the last bit of hope he had left shatter before his eyes. 'If they...if they couldn't do it...I'm done for...'
