Moonlight Visitor

Smash nodded. "I see..." Barely. He thought. 3 Warriors and their leader, and a monster. All in the hands of a 15 year old boy who probably hasn't even been in a fight at school. Yeah, we're in trouble. He wanted to ask more, but he wasn't quite sure what. "If trouble does come around, I'm probably going to have to do most of the "protecting" around here. I don't care what kind of power Mike has, if he doesn't know how to use it or if he even has it, He's gonna need a "Protector" of his own. Therefor, I need to know as much as possible. Are you sure that's all you can tell me?"

Smash stood there silently, thinking about all that had been said. Well...some of the basic questions have been answered...I suppose we could just figure out everything else ourselves...He thought. Still, it looks like things are once again up to me. I'd better get ready for tomorrow. We've got yet another meeting to attend, to. He walked towards the house, still thinking about the events...




After dinner, The four of them had just entered Gizmo's living room. "Alright, guys. The moon should be out in the open right about now." Gizmo said. "There are a few good spots to look at it, I'm sure you can find them."

"Okay." Mike nodded. "Thanks for the food, by the way."

"Yes, it was delicious." Lina added, smiling warmly.

Lina looked at Mike, at first somewhat puzzled, but then somewhat understood. Gizmo scratched the back of his head, and then shrugged. "Alright, that's fine with me." He said. He tried to pretend not to notice what he was getting at, but Kitty was giving him a suspicious look.

"I guess I'm okay with it, too." Lina said. "After all, I get to see Gizmo in action." She giggled a little.

"T-thanks." Mike said, trying not to stammer.

"You two have fun now." Gizmo said, grinning slightly. Mike blushed even more after that statement, and tried to look away to hide it.

Meanwhile, The three walked down the stairs into the basement. They soon reached the bottom after Kitty turned on the lights. They walked towards a desk at the end of the room across from the staircase. "Okay, let's see here..." Gizmo said as he took a seat at the desk. He placed the necklace on the desk, and began shuffling through a drawer. "Kitty, Fire up the Power Copy Machine." Gizmo said. Kitty did as he was told and flew towards a large, bulky machine farther down the wall. He began pushing a few buttons on it until it began making a loud whirring sound, which soon turned into a soft hum. Lina looked at the machine, amazed that he actually made the machine. Gizmo examined the necklace closer. It was a diamond shaped a crystal, sparkling with rainbow colors as it came into the light. He soon took the necklace towards the machine, and put it inside of a glass case. He pushed a button on it and began typing on a touch-pad on the screen. The screen soon began showing readings of whatever power the Crystal had.

Lina watched in awe. She had no idea what they were actually doing, but it was very interesting, and amazing that Gizmo and Kitty did all of this as if it were a daily routine.

Diana walked a little farther into Gizmo’s front yard before pausing and staring up at the large round moon. A wave of relief and calmness overcame her as she stared at its shining beauty. It almost felt like she was even getting stronger from it.

“Wow..” was all she could say at the moment.

“It is beautiful, isn’t it?” Mike added. He stood beside her, and smiled as he looked up at the moon with her. He felt the same way she had felt, making him feel a little closer to this girl he had weird feelings about..

“It is.” she agreed, and gave him the smile that he was beginning to like even more.

“Hey Diana, so you..” but he was cut off when he looked at her.

He was about to offer her to sit down with him but all he could do was stare. Diana’s eyes were sparkling and so full of a different kind of beauty he’d never seen before. In fact, she herself seemed to shine with the moonlight.

“Yes Mike, what is it?” Diana asked. The way he was looking at her made her blush.

“W-would you like to sit down with me?” he finally asked, trying hard not to blush with her.

“S-sure.” she said, and followed him to a log while hiding her face with her hair out of embarrassment.

She sat down first, and he sat down a few inches beside her, accidentally putting his hand on top of hers.

“S-Sorry!” both of them said in unison, and pulled both their hands away and turned their heads in opposite directions.

It stayed quiet for a little while, making it yet again awkward as both of them tried to think of something to say, and hiding their blushing.

“So..um..have you gotten any clues from looking at the moon?” Mike asked finally.

“Well..no. Not exactly..” she began sadly. “But I do know why I love it so much. I feel..calm. And stronger if that makes any sense. Its beautiful..”

Mike looked down. “I’m sorry. I was hoping as much as you that it would help with your lost memories.”

Diana was a little surprised, but gave him another smile despite the fact that she felt like crying.

“Th-thank you Mike. That means a lot.” she stammered.

Mike looked at her sadly. “I wish I could do something to help you..but I can’t.” he said.

“But Mike, you do help me.” she assured.

“Huh? How?” he asked, confused.

“Well umm..” Diana turned and stared at the ground shyly. “You saved my life..You made sure that I was alright even though you didn’t need to. And today..I haven’t asked you to do anything for me, you just did it..And you’ve been here for me and you’re concerned about me even though I haven’t done anything for you in return..” she finished, and looked at him sadly at the last part.

Mike was surprised. Had all of that really meant that much to her? “Well..yeah. But Diana, I’m only doing it because I want to..To tell you the truth, doing all of that is the very least I could do for you. I wanna do so much more to help you..” he said, and wrapped his arm around her. He couldn’t stand to see her sad like this.

Diana was taken aback. She was so happy to have him here for her..

“Diana..” Mike paused, trying to spit it out.

“What is it Mike?” she asked, looking up at him.

“I…From the first time I saw you…I felt this..this strange connection with you. I can’t explain any of it, and neither can Lina, Smash or even Gizmo…but its there.”

((Aww, things are getting sweet. XD Also the Power Crystal isn't the necklace here. ))

Gizmo leaned forward and watched the screen as lines of text scrolled upwards. "I guess it's to be expected..." He mumbled, stroking his chin. "I don't know what type of energy is coming from this thing. It's unlike any I've ever seen before."
Lina looked at him, worriedly. "What does that mean?" She asked.
"It means...We're gonna have to try to do a closer inspection." Gizmo said. "That pure light...that contradicting vibe that we got from it...There's gotta be something we can learn here..." He began typing on the screen again, reading the text in a mumbled voice.
Kitty soon came flying over, holding a bunch of shards of a white crystal. "Gizmo. Chao cha-mew chao, Meow chao."
Gizmo glanced towards him. "I'm not really sure. I suppose if we tried to compare the two, we might learn something..." He said. He took one of the shards out of his hand, and opened the case. He placed the shard inside, next to the necklace, and closed it back. He then began typing on the screen again, and the machine began scanning the crystal shard as well. "Let's see...Y'know, maybe if I tested some of the necklace's power on different things..." Suddenly, the machine let out a loud beep. "Hm?" He looked closer at the screen.
"What was that?" Lina asked.
"I dunno. Some kinda error." Gizmo said as he typed on the screen again. The machine let out another loud beep. "That's strange...Why is it saying that the energy type no longer exists..?"
Lina and Kitty noticed something strange as well. "Uhh...Gizmo..?" They said, pointing at the glass case.
Gizmo looked back at them, and then inside the case. "Whoa, What the-" The necklace was glowing a completely different color. It was now a dark reddish color, and shaking violently. Quickly, Gizmo opened the hatch and snatched the crystal out of it. "I should have known...Another reaction to the Power Crystal..." He said, quietly. Lina and Kitty were looking somewhat scared now, the necklace didn't stop even with the shard away from it.
