WT: Topaz The Hedgehog VS Smash The Echidna (Winner: Smash The Echidna)

The kick collided with his fist, and the spikes on his gloves possibly scratched, if not punctured his foot. That didn't stop his course of flight though, Smash's hand was brought down but the rest of his body breezed by Topaz' foot. Smash reached the peak of his height nearly at the ceiling of the stadium. As he fell back downward, Smash clenched both fists together and tried to slam Topaz' head. He held his leg up, seemingly ready for something else.

((Indoors... good to know.))
The base of Topaz's sneaker was indeed cut open. He hadn't expected the two attacks to collide like that, but whatever works. He watched Smash come down upon him, but this time he had a much better idea.
Chaos Control!
In a flash of red Topaz was gone, but he quickly reappeared above Smash. Using both feet he stomped down on Smash's back with all of his might, a blow that would send any normal person through the floor.

As soon as he heard those two familiar words, he stopped his attack and looked around frantically to see where he would appear. He had a feeling he might try to dodge, but even if he saw this coming, he wouldn't have any way to avoid it. He looked up just in time to take the blow, sending him down hard to the ground. A small crater was left where Smash landed. He lay there motionless for a few seconds, reverted back to his normal form.

"And Smash is Down! If he can't ge-"

Smash forced himself up from the ground. The landing hurt more than the actual attack itself. "...Now it's gotten serious." He growled. He managed to stand up, ignoring the pain he was feeling all over his body. "This has gone far enough. I'm not going to stand for being stomped down like a bug." His body began to glow again. "Chaos control.." He spat at the ground. "Oh, I'll show you Chaos alright." His aura returned to him. "UURRRGHIIIIII!!!" With a loud, echoing battle cry, he released a blast of energy, returning to his High Tension state. He brought it all out, and in a matter of seconds he unleashed another blast of energy, his aura turning lime green along with his fur. Cyan stripes formed on his arms and legs. "It's ON, Now!" He shot up from the ground, heading towards Topaz at an even more alarming rate than before. He was covered in the green aura, and his expression looked as if he were really going to try and kill him.

Topaz teleported out of Smash's way once more, this time reappearing closer to the ground.
Well, this is interesting. Hmm... If I lead him around enough, maybe I can score a ring out. It's not the best way to win, but I might be my only choice right now.

Smash performed a backflip in mid-air, diving downwards towards the ground. He set his sights on Topaz. I might just have to use that one thing... He thought. He threw a hard punch downwards towards Topaz' head.

Again Topaz teleported, this time to the opposite side of the ring, near its edge.
Come on, Smash. Step it up.

After hearing the taunt, Smash knew what was going on. Yep, looks like I'll have to resort to that. He thought. But maybe I'll go along with this just a little longer. He burst towards him again, his aura increasing in size. He began to gradually build up his energy as he chased him down.

This time Topaz tried something a little different. Smash would have to get awfully close to the edge of the ring to make a move, so Topaz teleported away one final time. For hopefully his final move, he reappeared directly behind Smash as he passed and dealt a roundhouse kick to his back. With luck this would knock him out of the ring.

Smash seemingly fell right into his trap. The kick sent him flying over the ground outside of the ring. But soon afterwards, Smash flashed brightly as if he were releasing another blast of energy, but instead of one of the usual small explosions, he vanished.
The next thing he knew, he heard Smash's voice behind him. "DIVINE, FIST!!" His entire body was glowing brightly, and his fist had it's own aura around it. He plunged his fist into his back, with nearly three times the force of his regular Skull Cracker. A blast of energy shot behind him from the attack. Normally he uses this skill from above, and the aura shooting behind him would reach the clouds. But on the ground, it began to tear through the wall behind him. Even if it didn't hit him directly, Smash unleashed nearly all the energy supporting this form in front of him, resulting in a similar blast from his punch earlier.

The large flash of light hid the two fighters within, and remained like that for quite a few moments. Once it had faded, Smash became visible with his arm extended... but it wasn't in contact with Topaz. He had struck an invisible dome, rippling yellow energy; an ability Smash knew as Chaos Protect. Topaz was inside facing Smash, kneeling. He panted heavily, for the life force required to defend against the Divine Fist was immense. However, this pushed him far enough to do what he had been trying to do for quite a while now. Topaz stood within the barrier, an angry look on his face. Slowly his red aura became grey, his white eyes became black, and his white lights became black flames. Gem Shine Topaz had become Dark Jewel Topaz.
