WT: Topaz The Hedgehog VS Smash The Echidna (Winner: Smash The Echidna)

Smash hopped backwards and away from his attack. Feeling the chain retracting, he loosened his grip on the chain With a quick glance behind him, he saw the ball was really close to smacking into him. He backflipped into the air, grabbing the chain once more, and landed with his feet planted on the steel ball. Holding on tight, he found himself riding towards Topaz at a high speed.

((Smash has really good balance to be able to stand on that, especially while it's moving. I said "five-pin" bowling ball when I described it, right? That's not much bigger than a human fist.))
This opportunity was perfect. Once the chain had retraced fully, Smash would no longer be able to hold on with his hands, and would have to balance with his feet alone. When the ball stopped at the handle, Smash would surely be thrown off. As the ball returned, Topaz met it with a thrust of his arm, hoping to speed up the process of Smash's fall.

((I kinda forgot about that. But still, he's hanging onto the chain as well.))

When Smash was close enough, he let go of the steel ball and let it fly under him. Still flying at him with the same momentum, he threw a powerful punch towards him, his aura returning as he brought out much of his energy into this attack. After images were appearing behind him as his entire body glowed. Normally he would be going in slow motion, but from already moving at the speed he was, this skill was unusually fast. The impact of the punch would create a small explosion of energy, and possibly knock him back quite a few feet if he lost his balance.

Helpless. Smash was finally starting to get unpredictable, and there was nothing Topaz could do about it. He reacted before the action and it left him wide open, unable to block, counter or dodge Smash's oncoming attack. The punch collided with Topaz's face, the burst of energy sent him flying backwards, landing on his back and sliding to a stop near the ring's edge. When the flash had subsided and the dust cleared, Topaz could be seen with a bloody nose, struggling to sit up.

Smash landed on his feet, skidding forward quite a bit before coming to a complete halt. He cracked his knuckles, ready for some more.

Slowly, Topaz climbed back to his feet. Though the blood on his face hid it, he was starting to get angry.
No... this isn't it. That was a big hit, but there's now way this is over yet. I'm not losing this. Not in the first round. Not in front of my girlfriend. Not to Smash...
Topaz was up now. He wiped the blood from his face with a wince, and clenched his fists. His vest and spines danced in a slight breeze that had suddenly picked up around him. He breathed heavily as his body began to shake.

Smash had just let his High Tension state leave him moments before seeing Topaz undergoing some changes of his own. His eyebrows rose. "Hm..? Wait, Can he...?" He muttered to himself. He watched to see what exactly was happening.

As the sudden, as the odd breeze began to pick up, a faint, white light appeared in front of Topaz. It began to spin around him as another appeared with it. Then another, and another. There were now eight, white lights orbiting Topaz which had brightened to a point that they looked like miniature stars.
You pushed it a little too far, Smash. Don't take it personally, but this is where I turn the tides for good.
The eight lights had formed a white aura around Topaz, which increased the breeze to a heavy wind. In one swift motion he put his weapon back into his storage ring and punched his hand through it, so that it now sat on his wrist. In an explosion of light and energy his aura turned red, and Topaz underwent an intense change. When the light had faded, Topaz was floating slightly above the ground. His fur and flesh were now a crimson-red, and his eyes were whited out. A thick, grey glove sat on his right hand attached to a navy-blue bracelet. His spines flew upward as if he were standing above a powerful fan. Gem-Shine Topaz had made his debut.

Smash didn't say anything. His expression turned serious as he got into a defensive stance. This could get ugly... He thought. Better tread carefully. I didn't want to have to show my full strength on the first round, but I just might end up having to...

Without another word, Topaz raised his arm towards Smash. The eight lights moved in front of his palm, and shot out towards Smash like bullets. They would release a blast of energy on contact and return to Topaz immediately afterwards.
