Splice The Hedgehog: RPG Fangame.

Thanks. It took a while to come up with that idea.

Okay, since I seem to have a thing for losing character's skills and having to do them over and sometimes leaving some out, I'm going to make a list right here. Each character, every skill.


Splice The Hedgehog (Other than the Axe kick skill, which I haven't even made for Sonic yet, Splice is complete!)

Needle Spindash
--Each Spindashes pierce defense.
Fire

--Elemental skills. More or less effective on certain enemies.
Speed Up
Haste
--Don't confuse the two. Speed up puts a characters speed up a little, while Haste gives them the actual condition 'Haste' which doubles the speed of the character.
Light Charge
Light Speed Dash
--The two are closely related. Light charge comes first, then Light Speed Dash is available. Only 4 characters can use it. Sonic, Splice, Speedy, and Daz. They all have their --own attributes that can help in different ways. Splice's hits all enemies with Fire and Ice elements.
Ice Breaker
Flame Dive
--Both death attacks. They have a better chance of working depending on which one you use on who.
Flame Barrier
Frost Barrier
--Both protect an ally from Fire or Ice based attacks.

Hey Smash! Can you give me an estimate of when you will be done with this game? Like, will it be months? A year? Several years?

This has got to be a FAQ or something. I get the same question all the time.

I don't have an estimate. The game's database blew up the other day and I'm set back to before Violet was finished, which is, infact, a while back. This is the second time that this happened. I don't know when I'll be done.

It has probably occurred to everyone that I haven't really done much updating. Work is going by slowly, especially if you can only complete a single skill per turn on the computer. :smashroll:

I'm trying the best I can to keep up. Its really hard. And to top it all off, things have not been going well for my friends for the past few weeks. As well as myself. I gotta look after them as well as myself and in the mean time try to GET ON THE RIGHT COMPUTER.

So, its really going slowly. I'm trying. Right now I'm editing that post above me with the checklist of skills. I'm almost done Splice.

Is there always something in your way? It sounds like life is hectic at your home.

Almost always. When it comes to getting on the computer, It IS hectic.

Now, I'm mainly writing this down so that I don't forget later.

The Blitz Pit is obviously gonna make an appearance in this game. How it works, I'm still thinking about it. I'm thinking that there will be some basic tournaments that come by as the story progresses. It also proves as a training ground.
Later, like after the last tournament that comes by is finished, you have a chance to start unlocking secret tournaments. For example:


Beginners tourney
Moderate level tournament
Veterans challenge
Expert tournament
Super Tourney.

If you beat all of these with a hedgehog character (Splice, Sonic, Speedy, Violet, Kyle, Cymbeline, Lily, Hyper, Daz) You unlock the Hedgehog's Special Cup! Whereas if you beat them all with an echidna character (Smash and Knuckles are the only ones, actually.) You unlock the Echidna's Special Cup.

Something like that. I've also thought about taking on certain challenges or beating certain tournaments with certain characters or something to unlock special battles. (Like the Platinum or Gold match in Kingdom Hearts)

I'm really looking forward to making the Blitz Pit.

There are only two more skills left to make for Splice and then I'll move on to making his alternate costume, only its not alternate in the game. It will be his brand new look. Hence the title screen.

Also, I was working on Smash's newer changes as well. Mainly a sprite sheet, but I'm using that for this game as well. Kill two birds with one stone. So far so good.
