Adventures at Sea

"Yeah." Smash walked back over to her, looking at the screen. 'That's pretty cool. She really is a genius, huh?' He thought to himself. "Thanks though. I had fun." He said. "That was..actually the first date I've ever had."

Luna grinned and selected hot chocolate on the screen or at least the Atlantian version of it. "I actually have never been on a date before...too many of the boys fear my brother so they don't both trying to ask me or Shada out on a date. That and I've never liked someone before." she said as the cup of hot chocolate appeared on the table.

Smash's smile faded slightly. "Oh yeah, he came into my room a little bit before you were ready." He said. "He basically gave me a warning and made the room temperature shoot up about 10 degrees." He sat down and shrugged. "I don't think he was very happy."

"Please don't be mad at him for it." Luna asked of Smash looking up at him with a sad smile. "He has been like that ever since he learned that our father used our mother and left her. He doesn't want that to happen to me or my sister. Since our mother was this age when she fell in love and got married"

Smash nodded. "I see..Well, I'm not mad anyway." He looked back up at her. "In fact I think I can relate to his feelings. I mean, both my mom and dad passed away, so I'm basically the only one there to look out for Pearl. I wouldn't want her to end up with the wrong guy, either."

Luna took a sip of her hot chocolate before nodding. "You do a good job Smash...she is happy which is the most important part. Sam...he is just overprotective." she said making a second hot chocolate appear for him.

Smash's smile returned. "Thanks." He said, taking his cup. "I'm glad, too. She..." He started frowning now, "She didn't take our parents' passing too well." He said. "It happened right when we were about to celebrate her birthday..."

Luna patted the seat next to her taking another sip as she thought about it. "I can understand. My little sisters don't even know who their dad is or what he looks like. He left before they were born." she said.

Smash sat down next to her and nodded. "Yeah..It's pretty rough. I can't even imagine not knowing your own dad." He said, taking a sip. "It took her all year to recover from that incident back then. But I think I only made it worse when I tried to pick up where my dad left off in his career."

Luna looked thoughtful before asking "What career might that be?" setting her cup down. She turned to look at him.
