Adventures at Sea

This is an RP prequel, going back to show exactly how Smash and Luna met. This will be the Final version of this scenario we will do. Since this is a prequel, we will not be accepting any other people into this RP.

It was a beautiful day in Green Flower City. Clear skies and a gentle, cool breeze made it perfect for outdoor activities. Over by the docks, a small group was gathering in front of a white ship with a long, yellow lightning bolt painted across the side. Amongst them was a blue echidna, roughly 16 years old. He looked at the captain of the ship, who happened to be even younger than him, with a look of anticipation. "So, what you're saying is, we'll just be sailing around in search of new and/or unexplored lands?" He asked.

The captain, a yellow hedgehog with several thin quills on the back of his head, grinned and nodded. "That's basically how we roll."

"How do you know we'll find anything?"

"How do you know we won't?" The captain looked back towards the ramp leading up to his ship, where his brothers stood. "Even if we don't find anything remarkable, it'll still be a trip worth writing about. That much I'm sure of."

The echidna smiled. "If ya say so, Thunder." He said. "Well! Are we all set?"

Lightning, Thunder's twin brother, saluted everyone below the ramp. "Everything's all loaded up. We're ready to set sail!"

"Good." Thunder said. He looked back at his friends in front of him. "Now, is everyone present and accounted for, Smash?"

Smash turned to look at everyone. "Well let's see." He began to count them off, "Pearl, Splice, Gizmo, Kitty, and..." He paused, realizing that they were the only ones there. "That's it?"

Pearl, Smash's sister, shrugged. "I guess. No one else came, so..."

Smash shrugged as well, and looked back at Thunder. "Yeah, that's everyone."

Thunder chuckled a bit. "Alrighty then. All Aboard!!" He lead the group up the ramp and onto the deck of the ship. They would soon set sail, to wherever the wind takes them...

Indeed the winds will be talking them for as they set sail they were unaware of the approaching storm that would hit them in a few hours.


At the same time this was happening, three hedgehogs were talking in a garden full of beautiful flowers. The dark blue female hedgie looked at her sister as she spoke "Shada what do you think about raising to the surface after all this time?". Shada sat and thought about it for a moment looking into her cup of tea. "I think...that it shall be interesting. Maybe we will get to meet outsiders again. Nice ones." She replied taking a sip. The brother who was listening in only hmph with a worried look on his face.


"Oh Samuel knock it off. You know it be nice to see a real sun and besides...nothing bad will happen" Luna said messing with a device of hers. "So you say..." He replied before heading inside the large castle to get ready for the rising of their home.

As the time went on, the crew sailed together through the seas. It was rather peaceful, and everyone was taking the time to relax until something happened.

"Anyone up for some lunch?" Lightning called out. Looking up from what they were doing, everyone could see him and his older brother, Electric, standing in front of the door to the cabin with a platter full of tuna sandwiches.

"Sure!" Splice was the first to jump at the call. He jogged over to the two brothers, who were setting the platter down on a round table nearby.
Gizmo rubbed his tummy, remembering how hungry he was, and walked over to help himself. Kitty on the other hand, sniffed the air and zipped past Gizmo, nearly beating Splice to the table.
Pearl and Smash, who were standing by the rail chatting, decided to pause their conversation and grab a bite to eat.

"We had lots of tuna, so tuna sandwiches are today's special." Lightning announced, jokingly. He looked amused by everyone's hungry expressions.

"Mmm, Tuna." Gizmo licked his lips at the smell of it. Kitty snatched up one of the sandwiches, which was almost as big as he was, and sat down beside the platter.


While everyone else was collecting their lunch, Thunder stayed by the wheel, watching the sea in front of him. Something caught his eye, off in the horizon. Many clouds were beginning to form. And from the looks of it, they were storm clouds. "This could get exciting..." He said softly to himself, before taking a bite out of his own tuna sandwich.

As time went on the people around the castle got to moving around. Sam walked over to his mother and a control panel. They exchanged looks before both pressing a button on the panel. The whole castle began to shake as the island they were on began to raise up. "The storm will hide the waves from us coming up right? You guys made sure no boats were around so we wouldn't cause any crashes?" He asked the silent hedgehog. "The only boat was too far away so it shouldn't be a problem as far as we know. We can't stop, this storm is our only chance." She replied before walking out of the room to watch.

Luna and Shada went around making sure everyone was safe in their homes while the process was going on. After checking the other two islands they returned to the castle to report. "Mother, things are going as planned. It would be fine to speed up the storm using my machine and speeding up the rising." Luna said to the same hedgehog that Sam spoke to. After a nod from the hedgehog, Luna slowly walked over to a machine and started to move very fast as she worked the machine.

A beam of light can be seen to hit the sky and storm clouds from a point far from the boat. As the light hits it, the storm clouds start to move faster towards them and get more violent.

Thunder leaned forward, squinting at the beam of light on the horizon. His eyes widened in shock when he realized what had just happened. "What on earth...!?" He gasped. 'W-what was that...? Something just shot up and made the storm clouds even more violent...' He thought. 'I've never seen anything like that. That can't be natural...' His face lit up as he realized what this could have meant. "Which means...there's something over there that's completely unnatural. This could be a big discovery!"
Full of courage and excitement, Thunder headed straight for the storm. "Listen up, everyone!" He called out. "We're headed straight towards a storm! I want you all to brace yourselves, because our destination may very well be at the heart of it!"

Everyone walked inside towards him, completely bewildered by his announcement. "What are you talking about?" Smash asked. "Where are we-"

"Look." Thunder pointed ahead, the beam of light was still visible. Everyone stared at it, both puzzled and awestruck. "We're going to find out just what that light is, and why it's making the storm even more violent than it already was.

"Holy cow..." Splice gulped. "What the heck IS that?"

"Only one way to find out..." Lightning said.

Electric looked over at Thunder, somewhat worried. "This could be very dangerous you know.."

"I know. Don't worry, We'll last." Thunder reassured. "Just bring the food inside, alright?"

In only a matter of seconds the storm spread to them, moving quickly but still very violent. The waves starting to rock the boat but for some reason it pulls them forward. The light disappears but something else seems to be appearing but hard to see for now.

Luna watched carefully over the machine until it stopped. "There...we are almost surfaced. The force field should be showing above the surface. Soon the tallest tower and then it will be easy. As long as nothing goes wrong..." she focused on keeping everything balanced. "How is the emerald and our cousin doing?" Sam asked watching over Luna's shoulder.

"The readings are normal, they will be fine. The storm is violent but I've speed it up..we shall appear in the eye of the storm and then it will pass quickly. We won't get any damage as far as I know. Though if any ships or boats or planes are around I won't be able to get them on the sensors since the storm is blocking it." She said working fast to make sure nothing goes wrong.

As the storm quickly surrounded their ship, the group stood in shock by the intensity of the storm. Thunder could feel the ship getting pulled forward by the waves. "This is no normal storm anymore..." He said. He turned to Lightning, "Take the wheel for now. I'm going to see what I can do about keeping us steady. Keep on course." He walked outside, soon becoming drenched in the heavy rain.

Zap, the youngest of the four brothers, watched uneasily as Thunder passed him and headed out in the rain. Smash watched curiously, wondering what he was going to do by himself.

Thunder stood at the front of the ship. He felt the wind blowing hard in all different directions. Closing his eyes, he held his hands out both ways, and concentrated. The winds began to avert and change direction. The ship rocked back and forth even more as Thunder manipulated the wind, but soon slowed and flowed gently across the water. The ship began to accelerate as the wind began to move in the same direction as they were, and sailed almost smoothly were it not for the waves.

As they got closer to the eye of the storm, a bubble of some kind is surfacing fast from the sea. It spreads as it gets bigger, soon a tower of some kind can be seen then a castle along with a large island coming up. Soon the same thing happens with two other island connected to the large one.

A sigh comes from all of those in the castle as they finish the surface. "It is done...the storm will pass in a few minutes." Luna said to her brother. Both getting ready to head out to see if the force field turned off or not. The castle looks amazing even with the storm.

As Thunder opened his eyes, he was greeted with the sight of the large, beautiful castle rising in front of him. He naturally reacted in shock. His arms dropped down, and his mouth hung open, but no words came out.

"S-Smash, Look at that!" Pearl cried out, pointing towards the castle and islands. Everyone looked where she pointed, and were taken back by the sight.
"Y-You're kidding, right?" Splice stammered.
"Amazing...!" Gizmo marveled. "But..Why?"

"S-See? Didn't we tell you?" Lightning said, trying to act as if he weren't surprised. "That's why you guys should come along more often!"

Smash narrowed his eyes at him, "Oh as if castles rising out of the water is totally natural and happens all the time around here."

"Guys, look!" Electric pointed upward, "The storm's already clearing up..."

As the storm clears the sun starts to shine. The boat should be a lot closer to the islands now, close enough to see a dark blue hedgehog running on the beach.

After pushing a button on her bracelet she begins to talk into it. "We have a problem...there is a ship...I don't know if they are hurt." Luna said as a beeping noise sounded and replying for her to wait to see if the ship comes to them or is out of control. If out of control then to teleport onto it. She stopped and watched the boat keeping an eye on it.

While Luna was on the beach of the main island, her brother Sam was checking the remaining islands. Once he was done he made his way to Luna and stood next to her. "Looks like we have guest already" "Yep...I just hope they aren't the bad kind."
