Moonlight Visitor

"Hoo boy..." Smash huffed and bit his lip. "This could be a problem..." He tapped his foot for a moment, before pacing back and forth with his hands behind his back. The others watched him, feeling just as worried as he was. Eventually he stopped at the edge of the kitchen, with his back facing them.
"I'm not sure what the best move would be in this case, but depending on how bad the patrols are, we might just have to clear route." He said finally. "This could include either drawing their attention or even taking them out. Either way, we have to make sure they're out the way. It's hard to sneak an entire group past security." He turned to face them. "That's all I got."

Everyone stayed silent. Rachael, Derrik and Kurtis were playing ideas around in their heads as the others waited.

"Hey.."

They all looked over at Aaron, who was giving them a serious look. "I could be a distraction..and lead them away from you all." he offered lowly. He looked nervous, but he knew that someone had to do it so they could have a chance to save their rightful queen.

Both Amari and Kurtis were more concerned than the rest of the group. "A-are you sure?.." Rachael stammered.

Amari held onto Aaron's arm tightly, not wanting him to do it, but knew in her heart that it was something that had to be done. The yellow rabbit smiled down at her, and pressed his lips on the top of her head before answering. "Yeah.." he said with a light smile.

"You are aware that if you get caught, we can't guarantee they won't kill you.." Derrik explained darkly, making sure the teenager understood how serious it would be.

Aaron nodded. "I-"

"No Aaron, you're just a kid! I will not allow you do put yourself in danger like that!" Kurtis yelled suddenly, his fists shaking in anger.

Despite everyone else flinching from Kurtis' angry outburst, Aaron just smiled sheepishly. "You don't have to worry about me, Kurtis. You taught me well on how to handle myself. You should know that."

The white hedgehog shook his head, his anger had melted a little, but his fists still shook.

"I'll go with him, Kurtis." Tristan offered. Derrik's eyes shot up, looking over at his little brother with worry.

"So will I!" Cody smiled, and gave his twin brother a high five. "I'm not letting you hog all the fun, brother!" he exclaimed.

Kurtis looked at the 3 boys with confusion at first, then sighed. "Just..come back alive.." he mumbled.

Aaron gave Kurtis a thumbs up. "I don't plan on dying before all is right again."

(Just a little add on for later when I get around to revising this part, add that Kurtis would be willing to take Aaron's place as the distraction, but Aaron strongly disagrees, telling him he had to make his brother Mizuchi pay for killing his wife.)

Smash looked over the kids, smiling fondly at them. "Thanks for your support. I know this is a dangerous mission, but we don't have much choice. We won't let your efforts go to waste." He then turned to Rachael, his expression returning to it's serious tone. "Alright, now we need to plan a route. I don't really know this place at all, so I'm leaving that up to you."

He nodded, understandingly. "I see. And Lucretia probably thinks I'm dead too." He added. "Alright then. I think that's about it--" He stopped suddenly, remembering something else. "Oh but one more thing, about Lucretia herself." The others looked at him, suddenly growing worried. "I think she's gotten stronger than before. Our whole plan on our first encounter basically revolved around the fact that her blood bending can only take one person at a time. The reason I'm even here today is because we were wrong: She got both of us at the same time. She can use blood bending on two people at a time--possibly even more than that. We have to exercise extreme precautions."

And he did just that. "WAAUGH! What the HECK is that!?" Smash shouted. "Where is that coming from, what's going on!?" He immediately went and checked the flat screen to see if something had happened, not knowing where else to look with the sound coming from all directions.

"INSIDE the house!?" Smash exclaimed in disbelief. "Then we've got no time to lose! If any guard gets out then our cover will be blown right off!" He dashed out the room and headed upstairs.
