Moonlight Visitor

'Oh Crap.' Smash's heart sank when he heard this. This threw their whole plan from earlier completely out the window. All he could do was keep focusing and building up his energy, and hope that it would cause her to slip up just long enough to free one of them.

Percy fell to his knees, unable to move another inch. He was terrified that they both might end up dying right here and now. His lips quivered in fear, yet he found himself unable to speak a word.

Seeing the fear in their eyes only filled Lucretia with a proud sense of victory. Though Smash's energy was beginning to worry her, she knew that he wouldn't last either way if she kept it up. In his condition, he couldn't lay a finger on her. Knowing that she was about to kill someone with that kind of power filled her with even more pride. So much that she couldn't hold it in any longer; she began to cackle loudly and wickedly, ultimately drawing the attention of the others.
The pain was getting to be too much for Smash now. He couldn't hold onto his High Tension form much longer. He began to fade in and out of consciousness; his entire body in immense pain. He let out one last scream of agony, mixed with rage and determination to stay conscious and fight back. Even now, he refused to give up hope.

Lucretia smirked, knowing it was about time she put them out of their misery. "Time to die, you two..! Farewell, Brother!" She brought her hands up, both palms facing the two victims. Percy's eyes shrunk, knowing that this was it. Suddenly, Lucretia froze. She began to wince in pain, she had been doing this for too long and now her wound began to sting far more than she could handle. Her arm lowered, unwittingly freeing Percy in the process. She kept her other arm up to try and keep them both at bay, but could only support the blood bending in Smash's body.
Smash kept screaming, for as long as he had consciousness. Percy, though, fell down to the ground directly after being released. He quickly realized that he could move his body, and stood right back up. Lucretia was in terrible pain, as was Smash. He was relieved to feel his blood return to it's normal flow, and decided to take initiative. He charged right back towards Lucretia, his fist cocked back and ready. He wasn't going to let her get away with that, either. Nor would he let her catch him off guard again!

The whole group had stopped what they were doing to see what was going on. After seeing both her brother and Percy falling to the ground, Pearl let out a blood curdling scream and ran from Mizuchi and Splice to help them. She immediately knelt beside Smash, nearly in tears upon realizing what had just happened. His High Tension form slowly faded away, and his fur changed back to it's usual blue. "S-Smash! Wake up, please!" She pleaded, shaking him gently. He lay motionless on the ground, barely breathing at all.

Crystal hurried over alongside Violet to try and help them. She knelt beside Smash, not wasting a second to try and heal him. Gizmo and Splice ran to try and help Percy, but were weary of Lucretia standing over him. Splice, angered more than anything, threw a flaming punch right towards Lucretia's face. "You heartless Witch!!" He bellowed fiercely. Gizmo took this chance to move Percy a safe distance away, with James and Zap's help.

Splice growled lowly. He knew better than to try and attack her now, with her other two henchmen guarding her. "You won't get away with this..!"
"Now wait just a second! Who said WE were done!?" Jessie, now standing right next to Splice, got back into a battle stance. "No way you're leaving here after THAT!"
Splice held his arm out in front of her, knowing that they'd only get in even more trouble if she provoked them.


Crystal finished healing Smash, hoping that it was enough to save him, and turned to Percy as Gizmo and the others set him down beside her. "H-He looks pretty bad..!" James stammered. "I don't know if he'll make it.."
Crystal swallowed hard, and did her best to try and heal him as well.

Splice felt his arms quivering with anger. He knew they weren't dead..they couldn't be. Still, the thought that they might not actually survive her assault put more pain and stress on him than he could handle. He tried to keep his anger in check, watching her walk away.
"Splice..Are you just going to let them go!?" Jessie demanded. "We can't let them get away! Not after we've come this far! And they still have Mike AND Diana hostage!"
Splice didn't answer. He didn't know what to do. If they took down Smash AND Percy, the two who were both the strongest and most experienced in dealing with Lucretia and her group respectively, He couldn't possibly win if they ganged up on him.


"Gizmo, what do we do?" James asked, looking down at the two fallen heroes.
"I'm thinking, I'm thinking..!" Gizmo muttered hastily. "We can't rush at them now, when they're all together..I-I think..." His voice trailed off as he tried to think of a plan.

Gizmo looked down, feeling horrible about letting them get away. He turned to look at Crystal. "How are they...?" He asked, glumly.

"T-they'll live.." She answered quietly. "But I don't think they'll fully recover from their wounds very soon..They're both pretty bad.."

"Smash..." Pearl laid her brother's head in her lap. His breathing had returned to normal, but he was still unconscious.
"What do we do now..?" Violet asked. "They're gone..and they've got Diana and Mike with them.."
Gizmo shook his head. "I don't..." His eyes lit up, "Wait a minute..I think we can still follow them." He said, feeling one last spark of hope.
"Really? How?" James asked.
"I gave Mike a shard of the Power Crystal..I put it in one of his Claw Gloves. If he still has them, I should be able to track them down.." He explained. "As for actually following them..."
