Adventures at Sea

"Whoa..." He stared into the gemstone in awe. "That power...I can feel it from here..I've never felt anything like this before..It's incredible."

"It's the 8th Chaos Emerald." Luna said a small smile on her face watching Smash's reaction.

"Eighth?" He asked, both eyebrows shooting up in surprise. "But..I thought there were only seven...How is that possible?"

Luna giggled softly "The Eighth is very different from the rest, even the master emerald and keep in mind it's been here for a very very long time...of course no one would know of it now. We keep it a secret, I'm not even suppose to show you it" she continued to admire the glow of the emerald.

"I see..." He looked back over towards the emerald. "So...What happens when it comes in contact with any of the other emeralds?" He asked, curiously.

Luna frowned. "We don't know..it's never ever been in contact with another emerald before. Who knows what could happen?" she said now curious herself.

Smash stroked his chin. "Hmm...As curious as I am, It's probably not a good idea to try it." He looked over at her, raising an eyebrow. "After all, if it hasn't been done before, there may have been a pretty dang good reason behind it. It might cause trouble, to say the least. But then again, who knows?"

"Given what power it holds....it's best to say that it could be very bad" Luna said turning her head and looking at Smash. The glow of the emerald really showing off the beauty of her eyes and face.

"Mmhm." He nodded in agreement. "But, if it's stayed safe this long, I guess there's nothing really to worry about." He looked over at her, fully. "But y'know, being here is kind of relaxing. The power and glow from the emerald..Not sure how to put it, but it makes me feel at ease..."

"Yeah..that's because it's been with a peaceful race for so long...it gives that feeling.." she moved a little closer to him, still looking at him.
