Moonlight Visitor

Pearl looked at him rather worriedly. Smash opened his mouth to say something, but was interrupted by the sound of the back door swinging open.

"GOOOOOOD MORNING!" Jessie called out, stretching her arms in the process. She stepped outside, soon followed by James, Crystal, Krysi and Zap. Just as suddenly as she appeared, she struck a pose, pointing directly towards the trio. "Team Garnet: Reporting for duty!!"

There was a moment of silence, neither one of the three really knew how to respond.

"Nah, she's always like that." James said, somewhat sheepishly.

"Is everyone else up?" Smash asked.

"Yeah, they're all inside." Crystal answered. "I think they're--"

Suddenly, Splice poked his head outside from the door. "Yo! Breakfast time!" He called out. "Let's go!" Just as suddenly as he appeared, he disappeared back into the house.
Smash exchanged glances with the two he was with. "Well..shall we?" Pearl nodded.

"What's the matter? Something happen?" Smash asked, raising an eyebrow at how frantic she was.

"She had another nightmare." Gizmo explained. "About the battle, this time."

Smash frowned. "I see.." He said. "If it's anything like the last one, it might be best to discuss it." He looked back at Lina. "If it's okay with you, of course?"

Lina looked down. "I..yeah, It's okay." She said. She had calmed down, but she couldn't stop worrying about what she'd do if any part of that dream came true.

Smash nodded, and patted her on the shoulder. "Come. Let's go eat." He said.

Everyone's eyes widened in shock. Percy was nearly frozen with shock, feeling his heart go cold from the thought.
"Yikes..." Splice said, breaking the silence. "Now it's two things going wrong.."
"Do you think it means something this time?" Lina asked, sounding desperately worried.
"I don't know.." Smash folded his arms, leaning back in his chair. "It's possible, but what it could mean..I'm not sure." He looked around at everyone. "In any case, We need to take precautions. This dream could be another sign, or even foretelling...We need to make sure we're completely prepared, and we need to watch each other's backs to make sure none of us go down fighting."
"Now I'm worried about Mike and Diana, too." Gizmo admitted, looking uneasy. "Maybe one of us should go back and guard them?"

'Wow, we really slept like that, didn't we?' He thought to himself, somewhat embarrassed. 'Well...' Before he could think anything else, he noticed something about Diana that caught his eye. '..She's smiling..' He stared at her for a little bit, thinking back to the previous days. 'Out of all the times she's smiled..this one seems to be the most sincere..She's really happy, this time. No forced smiles, no troubles haunting her, nothing to hold back her happiness...' Memories of the previous incidents played through his mind. He couldn't blame her for being down most of the time. He imagined what it'd have been like to be in her shoes. 'Parents were killed by her own sister..Spending the next few years floating around in space in an angelic coma...Losing all her memories...having her sister's fiends come after her and threaten to kill her new friends...discovering that there's a monster within her...' He closed his eyes, shaking his head. 'She's had it rough. I couldn't even wrap my head around half that stuff. Makes me wonder if she ever had any happy moments in her life...' He reopened his eyes, and gently brushed his hand through her hair. 'But today, all that will come to an end. And we'll finally make her truly happy again.' He smiled warmly at the sleeping rabbit, as she began to stir slightly. '...You know...she's really quite pretty...' He suddenly blushed at the thought, realizing what he just told himself. But, he shook his head and smiled. He knew it was true. And seeing how peacefully she was sleeping, made her seem even more precious to him...
