Wrath from Beyond

Everyone's eyes widened as they looked through the portal. The heatwave was bad enough, but sounds of feral animals was what really made their fur stand up straight. "Holy crap." Was all that Smash could say. Out of the 4, he was the one who looked the most disturbed by it.
"Tread carefully." Kyle warned the group. "Be prepared for anything."

"Just hurry up and go." Knuckles demanded, trying not to sound freaked out. "I-I don't like having portals near the Master Emerald. Especially not after that crazy dimensional mess last year."


((Smash's expression was quite similar to this. ))

Sinu: Also... i should let you two newcomers know now. The return trip home will be much easier than getting there.

"That's good to know." Keela said.
"Well the portal seems to be in good working order, so I don't think we have too much to worry about in terms of going in and out." Smash said. "So let's get a move on. I wanna hurry this up, I'm not sure how much time we've got left."
"Then let us go." Kyle said, walking towards the portal.

Sinu: *Once they enter, follows, Once they all go through, the portal vanishes*
Inside, the see they are on a land made of nothing but ice with ash blowing in the wind, and lava pits everywhere as well.
Sinu: Wow... things really haven't changed.

Smash looked around at their surroundings. "Whoa. Ice and Lava in the same place? The heck?"
Keela stayed close to Kyle and Smash, while Kyle looked around at their surroundings as well. "....Best not think about it for too long." He said, sounding unsettled.

Sinu: *Turns * Hmph... well it appears father knows we were coming. The demons are staying away. We should move. Sooner or later a hungry one will attack. *Starts forward*

"Staying away?" Smash's eyebrows rose. "But if he knew we were coming, wouldn't they be, y'know, trying to kill us?" He asked as they followed her. "Unless..." He didn't continue the sentence. He just followed and kept a very concerned expression. Kyle walked behind the rest of the group, to watch out for them all.

Sinu:... you're concern is placed correctly. We could very well be walking... *stops, bends down, places a hand on the ground* Hmmmmmm... *suddenly shapeshifts into a bear, strikes the ground a couple of times, breaking the ice and revealing a red glow, turns normal and pulls some crystals out* There. we have our return ticket now.

Kyle and Keela were somewhat surprised at her sudden shape shifting, but they had heard of it from Smash's explanation earlier so they weren't as shocked.
"Okay, good." Smash nodded. "Let's move on then. Lead the way."

Sinu: *Continues, she stops*.... Hmph... so... He WAS expecting us...
Helios: *Ahead of them, seems to be meditating, magic runes are swirling around him*
