Daz&Smash Revolution

Hey hey. You all remember Daz the Hedgehog? That yellow guy in the banner with the drums?

Once upon a time, Daz starred in many different Sonic ROM hacks. A while later, our series made a crossover, and alongside his guest appearance in Splice The Hedgehog, the Daz&Smash Spinoffs were born. There were a few GBA Rom hacks; Daz&Smash Advance 1 and 2, and Daz&Smash Brawl. After that, Daz had few appearances since then. After a while, his name was only known through his music and his developing image in Splice the Hedgehog.

In other words, Daz is kind of out of business.


In an attempt to give him a great revival (Much like Splice himself did, actually), Daz and I have decided to make one more Daz&Smash game. A mod of Sonic Robo Blast 2.

We're calling it: Daz&Smash Revolution!



Yeah. Lord knows how far we're gonna go with this project. It looks like I've ended up with the short end of the stick, doing most of the work with the characters. He can't even sign on Sonic Blitz so we're stuck with Youtube's buggy private messages to communicate.
The character list is as follows:

Daz the Hedgehog
Morgan the Fox
Smash the Echidna
Violet the Hedgehog
Speedy the Hedgehog
Gizmo the Cat
Splice the Hedgehog

Basically, most of these characters were ones that were already on my To Do list. But I've only managed to get some real work done on Violet, Gizmo and Smash. (btw Gizmo has 3 different versions of himself, so...D: )
Anyway. We have a simple story at the moment, nothing TOO special, but it can be improved if we find the need for it. (I'm sure we could probably do some cutscenes.)

Daz: Me? What about Red & Blue here?

Splice: What about me? You punched me in the face and I punched back >_>

Morgan: DAZ!

Daz: Oh hey buddy! How long have you been standing there?

Morgan: I just got here! I have something important to tell you!

Smash: What's the matter?

Morgan: -tells them what Eggman's up too-

Splice: Eggman again? Doesn't that guy take a break?

Daz: Unfortunately no.

Morgan: We have to do something!

Smash: Let me call my friends and tell them the situation. Dr. Eggman MUST be stopped.

Splice: Agreed.

Daz: Righty-O.

Smash calls his friends, they show up, and thus, they head off on
their new quest to gather the Chaos Emeralds before Eggman does and stop
his latest plan.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. At the moment I'm only gonna focus on the characters; Even if this project doesn't get done, I still want to finish what I'd started.

So your taking chars cause you know Smash I got Flame and Cold back at SFW? Also I can help with story.

No we're not taking chars. Seven is enough, thank you.

Okay so, things are looking up for Violet in terms of sprites.



These are her main sprites. Above is regular standing, below is her waiting. These are the main ones that are finished, and I'll be editing everything else with these as a main reference. There's still a whole lot of work to be done, but fortunately it's not too complicated. My main problem is the lack of proper shading on the sprites I have to work with, which makes it somewhat time consuming when I have to shade it myself. I also need to fix how her pants go over her shoes. I've already done it one one sprite, which is the most recent one I've finished.



That's a little better, I think.



Anyway, Violet's the only one I'm really focusing on at the moment. Mainly because working with her is pretty straightforward in comparison to the others. (I still haven't even completely finished a sprite of Smash because of his hair, and you know the situation with Gizmo...maybe.)
