See, my toilet has always made this sort of screech after one flushes it; not a particularly loud or obnoxious one, but still there. I've never minded it, and for quite a while I was just used to it and never payed it much mind.

Until, that is, last week, for last week, something rather beautiful happened; the second tone had actually got low enough that it was now in harmony with the original, transforming the annoying sound into an actually quite pleasant tone.

So now I just have a toilet that plays a pair of harmonic notes every time I flush. It brings a little smile to my face every time I hear it, and its a tiny pleasure that I've really come to enjoy. While it seems to have stopped dropping in pitch, I know full and well that one day I may wake up to find the little latrinal symphony once again out of tune, delivering instead a random pair of notes. So for now, I'll relish my little musical toilet, and enjoy its flushed tones for as long as I can.
