The moment Kyla opened the door something white and pink ends up on Gizmo's shoulder. On closer look it's a hero chao. She grinned at the chao as she pet it's head gently.

Gizmo took a step back, startled. "Whoa!" He cried out. He then laughed when he saw the chao on his shoulder. "You're a quick one." He said. "Were you expecting me?"

The chao looked surprised now noticing she was on Gizmo's shoulder. "Chao chao chao o.o" The chao said before flapping it's wings and hopping onto Kyla's shoulder, a purple ribbon around her neck. Kyla giggled and gently pet the top of the chaos head. "This is the surprise. I found her on the beach and decided to adopt her. Her name is Sunshine." Kyla said with a grin.

Gizmo's eyes widened. "Found her..on the beach..?" He asked, slowly. "..Was she alright when you found her?"

Kyla's ears went back a little. "Actually...she was a little beaten up and hurt..I nursed her back to health though." she said continuing to pet Sunshine gently.

Gizmo looked momentarily stunned. He stared at the chao for a moment, before looking down with his ears drooping. "I..I see..." He said. "...I'm glad she's okay, though.."

"Chao chao" Sunshine floated back onto Gizmo's shoulder and nuzzled up to him. Kyla couldn't help but smile. "I was hoping she and Kitty could be friends...I don't think Sunshine has been around other chao before."

Gizmo smiled for a bit, as he pet Sunshine's head. "Yeah, I'm sure they'll be great friends.." His smile soon faded, and he looked up at Kyla. "Your meeting with Sunshine...It's almost--no. It's exactly like how I met Kitty."

Kyla's ears perked and a look of surprise came across her face. "Really...? Wow..." Sunshine not stopping her nuzzling up to Gizmo.

Gizmo nodded, as he continued to stroke the chao's head. "Yeah. I found Kitty washed up on the shore, not too far from here. He was hurt, and was unconscious for the whole day. I didn't know how he had gotten out in the ocean, but he was lucky to have made it to land. I don't think he would have lasted out there much longer than he did..."
