SPAM ATTACK!

hey if you want some help i'm here and hopefully others too

I'll deal with rehiring later. For now I just want this place active again. There's no point in having a bunch of admins administrate an inactive forum.

Well Duh!, You're the only one who has the power to do ANYTHING on this Site. Most people who are new here are just members all they can do is post to talk.

Honestly, you need to re-hire people that are going to commit to get the site up, new and running. Because, I've checked the Affiliated sites and most of the admins here have their own sites. What kind of plotting is that? -_-

Not that is wrong, free country, they can do w/e they want. But obviously they are too busy with their site to even bother suggesting ideas on this one. And who's the dumb-bum who has to carry up the whole site? YOU .

Um. Yeah! There is point. With under new management, you can improve the site with active members and get attention.

Sorry to say this, But with Admins who don't give a Crud and don't get on don't even deserve to be Admins. Waste of title and space.

Nobody else wanted to be an administrator. I hired Sykog and Speedy, but Speedy resigned his position and Sykog left the entire site. Snowy just plain didn't want to be an admin from what I can remember. Believe me, before you came there were much more staff members. They all left.


That is true. I'm mainly gonna focus on inviting new members first. With the amount of members I have right now, I can actually handle the entire forum by myself.

I see. Then how come some members have more priviledges than others? When they don't even do anything. Not One Moderator besides you has done anything amazing for the past few months to deserve to keep their title.

There are new members here, including myself that get on this site and we're basic members. We can't do anything but post. How can you expect progress with that?

Its not mainly up to members getting on. You also need to put effort in improving and advertising the site. Nothing fancy but change scenery once in a while, no?

Bottom Line, Your site, your rules. If you think you can manage the site on your own with nobody's help. You have my support. =)

I just never demoted the moderators. I never did get around to that. But Snowy HAS helped me with the spam attack, which is what this thread was about. She keeps her title because she's there when I need her, such as that time. But there really isn't much to moderate when there aren't many new members coming and being ACTIVE. I'm not saying you or Cy or Alestar aren't being active. You are, and I'm thankful and grateful for that. But its just you three and sometimes Speedy who are active. I HAVE infact advertised this site on other places. I can name about 4 different sites that I go to where I advertised. It worked for the time being but not effective enough to have people keep on coming.

Honestly, I'm a very busy person. I'd spend my time working on this site and improving it as much as I can, but I have many other things I need to get done as well. I've got two games in the making and I've got FC profiles to finish writing. So..I don't really find much time to update this place. I do try though. I put up 2 contests and a banner entry thread which comes back every now and then unlike the other contests, AND I have the Blitz Pit. (I planned to try to make another tournament once the place gets more active) If I have to, I'll think of more contests and things to keep people active on here. The current contests aren't really contesting very well at the moment.

I should be getting on more now. I apologize for my absence. There has been a lot of situations and problems going on my end.

I don't mean to Butt-in. I'd like to give my opinion.

Estrella, Smash has been head-honcho of this place for a very long time (I think? Correct if I'm wrong). If the site has been up and still recognized by good members, it should be good enough. "Site Popularity" isn't always the best thing. It should only be based on the purpose of having a good time with Nice friends.

Smash, great job on the site and again I apologize for not showing up much. Don't mean to point or judge but there isn't a "Snowy" member here. The only In-charge member that has been doing the work has been you (Based on the time I've been here and looking over the site topics). Also, I looked over the Moderators, Administrator, Fanfiction Moderators. There is, in fact, members that haven't contributed to the site

Example:

The Member "Destiny" has logged in once and posted once yet she got the job as moderator.

Now, Basing on what you just replied about your relationship with "Snowy", I wonder...

To get accepted in those groups is based on the trust you have on them?

You have no need to apologize. Personal problems happen all the time. Don't worry about it.

I've been the head honcho for this place ever since the forum became an actual FORUM. The site was made by my friend Novastar, but she gave it to me before she could even add any content onto it.
And yes, I do have to agree about the site popularity part. I want to have a good time here with all of my friends, and hopefully get new people to join and have fun as well. I'm not competing against anyone or trying to get this site in the top 5 best sites rankings. I just want everyone here to have a good time.

Yes, you are exactly right. Destiny got the job as a moderator because I trust her. She's a friend of mine. Most of the people in the staff are people I know I can trust. There were a couple who I had doubted in terms of responsibility, but they aren't in the staff now.
